I get the same way with it. It's what I call the enlightenment moment. Usually it's realized for me in the scene after Chris Cooper has his melt down but before Annette Benning blows his brains out.
Has anyone here saw "The Deer Hunter"? Most of you probably have, it's considered to be one of the best films in Drama/War genre. I've been planning to watch it for a long time, but I don't know what has been keeping me from doing it. Honest opinion would be appreciated.

Yes, it is a great film. Keep in mind that the first part of it can feel slow to some. However, the first part is in there for a reason. You will find out why when you have watched the second half.
Many iconic scenes/acting, so its more then worth watching, and its nothing new not many seen it anyways, its well received but not one of those overly hyped movies everyone knows of.

Monco was saying how he hasnt seen it like its a shocking oversight, its very critically acclaimed movie, but not one I would say is that well known to ze masses.
Yeah it defenitely needed more of her hehe. And yeah 2nd one was just a total mess, poor villain IMO. Hopefully Ben Kingsley as chinese super villain will be better lol.
