It's been a terrible year for movies.
I liked Furiosa: A Mad Max story. Love the mad Max movies and this was a great addition. Should of done better at the box office but failed due to poor publicity and lack of Max.
Alien Romulus was also pretty good.
Oddity is a decent horror but the bar is low for good horror movies
Strange Darling was good but nothing special.
Don't Blink was a decent thriller but again nothing special.
Late Night with the Devil was ok.
The Substance was fucked up but fun at times.

Just saw an advance screening of Heretic.
Its worth watching for Hugh Grant's performance alone. There's lots of surface level dialogue and philosophical thoughts on theology and what is the "one true religion", but overall it's a great film.
Anyone else watched the "Three Colours" trilogy (90s)? I make an effort to re-watch all 3 movies every year. It's just brilliant.

It wasn’t a bad movie, but it didn’t feel necessary. It tries to bring back the spirit of the original, but it doesn’t fully succeed. Paul Mescal stood out with a great performance, showing he has a promising future. It’s an okay watch, but not something the original story really needed.
