I don't even know any REALLY new horror movies.
I liked
What Keeps You Alive, even though it doesn't have the best reputation.
Or shit like
Lights Out. Classic kinda horror I always liked. Prolly because it reminded me of
Darkness Falls. A movie I absolutely loved as teenager, even though it has an absolute shite reputation, just like
Wrong Turn.
Carriers is a bit older, but Corona brought it back to life I guess, with people being more interested in virus-oh-no-we-all-gonna-die kinda shit.
It Follows I liked as well.
Eden Lake is older, but cool.
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil and Dead Snow are funny.
Some other names:
Ready Or Not, You're Next, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, Drag me to hell, American Mary, Oculus, Insidious, Mayhem, Cabin In The woods, and a shit ton of others.
As for classics:
The Thing, Don't look now, Mulholland Drive (with for me one of the creepiest scenes ever, ffs. It's just scary as hell), Rosemary's Baby, Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare On Elmstreet are amongst my favorites.
At this point, you should have noticed that I don't really mind dumb horror movies.
Evil Dead still is hands down the best one I watched in a while though.
...But then again, nothing comes close to the cinematic masterpiece that is
Zombeavers.
@Post Ironic
...Perhaps only
Tokyo Gore Police comes close
