06/23/2003. A war of words has broken out between AS Roma general manager Franco Baldini and his Juventus counterpart Luciano Moggi.
In an interview with a Rome newspaper Baldini compared Moggi to a character of a Russian novel, who looks rather like a devil.
To this, Moggi answered: "Baldini reminds me of an old TV sketch, when a guy told the other "come in, idiot".
These exchanges were apparently triggered off by a certain Gaetano D'Agostino. The player is half owned by Bari and Roma, with the latter wanting to sign him permanently. The Giallorossi apparently believe that behind Bari are Juventus, who admire the player and actually wanted him last year in the failed Edgar Davids to Roma deal.
