Bezares just totally discredits the Bandiera Marchisio crowd around here. If I didn't know she was for real I'd think she's really an anti-Marchisio operative running PsyOp attacks.

i haven't seen pirlo play all season so how good is he? it is not like he is his prime
Pirlo vs Parma 2010-2011

And here is a goal that he scored this season. Marchisio could never ever dream of scoring such a goal.

I watched several games of Pirlo this season, he still has it.

You prefer Bastos starting for 15 M or Pepe starting for 7,5 M?
Hazard starting for 25 or Giovinco starting for 0, you pick.

Seriously, Pepe is no excuse for not wanting the best to our team. I mean, Bastos is good... but he's also far from great... as is Krasic. Having two "just" good (and predictable) wingers without great creativity just seems like bad to me. Or average if you want, once I am thinking (and Juve's board should, too) about a project for a comeback of a giant, not a comeback to the fucking Champions League.

Plus, this shit means straight 4-4-2 as fuck and we'll get fucked in the future when/if we try to improve that for a real system. Unless he's coming for the LB, but that's also sad because I bet we could find natural and better LBs for the money we'll pay for him.

Is it an improvement? Of course it's an improvement... but why neglect our only uncovered position (apart of the RB) to spend millions on the attack or in the center of the midfield? That just doesn't make any sense.

I'll be ok if we get Aguero upfront, but our market approach just doesn't seem correct to me.

The bicycle kick, probably not because athleticism is not Pirlo's main attribute.

But seriously, you're kidding right??

Go watch this and then come back to talk.

I am sorry to say this but you are blinded by your admiration of Marchisio because he isn't nothing special.

He certainly isn't good enough to start in a two men midfield. The only formation in which he can work is a 4-3-3 and even there, I wouldn't want him to start.

Pirlo is still far, far better than Marchisio.

It is not even debatable.

@Nenna: He is a deep-lying playmaker, his main role is to create plays, pass and assist, not score. If we protect him well with decent destroyers besides him, I think he will do well.

Actually I think Marchisio would suit better a two man midfield than Pirlo. Even if I would not like him there, too.
I don't like the idea of using Pirlo in a two men midfield either but provided that he is protected by someone like Lass, it could work in theory.

Even then, he would contribute much more than Marchisio.
