Only people who were addicted or work with people who are addicted can understand the situation, most of you are just talking out of your asses. It's a disease, he can't simply quit and for someone who smokes as much as he does at his age I don't think he ever will. Not everybody is able to quit cold turkey like I did 7 years ago. People are different.

Actually yes, my relationship with my cousin ended almost two years ago but I'm not pissy because of that.
I don't think he doesn't care about his health but he's probably weak-willed. I have a friend who is addicted to cigarettes since his teens. I always tell him to quit, he tries but ultimately he fails every time, he's aware he's putting his health at stake. I'd feel really bad if he caught pneumonia or anything serious.
Let's have some compassion for a man who's probably had a very stressful banker life. I'm a bank employee myself. People start overeating, drinking and having other vices, why? Idk but maybe they're just coping.

Both my grandparents on my father’s side were alcoholics, as were my uncle and two of my cousins. I have zero sympathy for the self-inflicted health problems that any of them went through.
These aren’t poor, destitute people without education and opportunity and nor is Sarri. Addiction certainly is a disease, but these sort of people create that disease through their own choices and actions, and spend years and years making it more and more difficult to quit. There are numerous resources and programs available to those looking to quit over the last 20+ years in the first world. If people have chosen to continue smoking like a chimney over this time period, any health issues are their own damn fault.

He's not a smack addict. Quitting wouldn't kill him. But it would probably hugely affect his mental state and the way he goes about his work would be drastically affected. Ultimately, his long-term physical health is his prerogative.
Smoking through a cold is reckless though in terms of the bearing it has on his ability to work. I turned common colds into bronchitis many times from stupidly smoking through them. It's the difference between the sniffles and being in bed for a week.
Bit of an ask for him to quit smoking altogether but a bit of prudence wouldn't go astray.

I agree with you but as a former smoker and judging how much this motherfucker smokes and how old he is there is NO WAY he will quit or even reduce the amount of packs he devours daily.

She still smokes when nobody is looking knowing she’ll live even less if she continues to. Sarri probably started smoking 50 years ago or smtg you can’t simply expect him to be stronger than his addiction now that he’s old. It won’t happen, it’s wrong but it is what it is.

This is a very tough season, both domestically and in CL, our direct adversaries upgraded a lot their teams and we only did 5.5/10 in our mercato.
Changing a coach normally is taking a toll, esp at the beginning of the season.
But it crucial not lose the CL income early on.
I expect us to go out early this season in CL, maybe earlier than last season, but it is imperative to reach the next round.
A very difficult group would give Sarri some excusions, but now, even with this mediocre mercato, he has none!
