ArrivaBALLS telling it exactly as it is, the guy knows his role and pointed out clearly there are others responsible for the footballing side, by that also more or less confirming Allegri's involvement on the decisions, so i wouldn't worry too much about that as it was clear from the moment he joined.

From what i read there are many encouraging points to take out of his full interview tbh, starting from the fact he reiterated what all of us wanted to hear which is that the ambition is there to get straight back at the top both on the pitch as well as off it along with the fact that the club will no longer allow itself to be held for ransom by any player or agent.

Since when do you need to be of a certain age and sex to sing and support your team vocally?
You can be anything you like and identify as tree for all I care but I just can't see kids and families creating an intense atmosphere for opposition players but maybe that's just me.

Don't get me wrong I don't want Ultras there either but the crowd should be our 12th man and a friendly family atmosphere wouldn't have the same effect.

RONALDO ATTRACTING ALL THE ATTENTION WHICH IS NOT COMMON TO JUVE HISTORY

"#Ronaldo was not fully used because of Covid. It's a shame because we didn't use him to his full potential, but there is a fact in which I'm totally convinced: #Juventus goes above any player. #Juventus is a club that has precise rules and has 125 years of history. More than one century of history is not written by a single player and that's why the club is more important than the players. This is #Juventus and at #Juventus everyone has to follow the rules, starting with me."

The De Ligt comment to me sounds like things aren't on good terms right now.
If the rumors are correct, I can understand why things would be stressed.

De Ligt and his agency are basically trying to force Juventus to extend him at a cheaper release clause and the threat looming over such negotiations is "we won't extend if you don't and we'll walk away for free." Using such blatant threats so early in negotiations is not a good look.

That being said, Arrivabene has already shown far more of a spine than the previous management in charge of extensions and transfers has shown. This is a good thing. We cannot operate like we have EPL money when we literally do not have EPL money. We can be a top 15 club in the world and still be financially in a worse position than the rest of the Top 15 and I think management is starting to realize that. Things that are financially feasible for other Top 15 clubs (constant player extensions, players extorting the club for lower buyouts and higher wages, players being extended for higher wages even though their contributions on the field decrease) are currently not feasible for us.

A Bidding War with ManCity would be nice :weee:
Honestly I think City could see MDL as a perfect fit. He is good with the ball as well - exactly Pep`s type. I wouldnt be surprised if we get a bid from City soon. I even wonder how a bid hasnt been made already.

I don't see professionals being intimidated by any sort of atmosphere anymore and a really motivated team doesn't need that either.

But even besides that, not wanting stadiums to be a safe and friendly environment for families is a 90's mindset and exactly the reason why Italy and its clubs are so far behind.

You can be as motivated as you can get but footballers are human at the end of day professional or not and will always succumb to pressure from fans in the stadium.

Just ask any team that has visited Anfield or clubs like City and Chelsea when they buckled at the Bernabeu this season due to the extra energy the fans gave Madrid and the pressure they put on their opposition.

I didn't mention anything about not wanting stadiums to be safe and already stated how I don't want them full of ultras either so I don't know what you meant or if you were talking about my post specifically.

I do feel stadiums need to find a happy medium between something that is inclusive for everyone but also able to make the visiting side know they are facing an uphill battle when facing our fans.

How are you so sure that we don't? Dybala , Vidal , Pjanic , Alex Sandro , Cuadrado , Lichtsteiner, etc are just a few of the recent names that were crucial for us and hit their peak here, this without including the italian core that also had the best years of their careers playing for Juventus...

And now we have the likes of Vlahovic , Chiesa and Locatelli lined up for a long term commitment just as well, players that actually want to be here.

Never? I dont know about never as Davids Zidane and DP obviously peaked playing for Juve but I do agree that since Pogba that has been the case.
Since Pogba who else was it? Coman? He was actually before Pogba, or are you referring about Kulusevski and Cancello? Not many other names tbf.

Only guaranteed starters that were sold in past 10years because of not being able to turn down a huge offer against the player's will was Pogba and maybe also Cancello, with the portuguese in fact having had some costly defensive brainfarts the previous season while we already had plans for Cuadrado in his role who did not disappoint in matching the level of involvement up front and same lack of defensive awareness at the back, so i wouldn't cry that much over him.

Another example could be Vidal, but he went for less than his actual value because of being more or less forced out by Juventus due to his off-field behavior. and looking back on it he surely hit his peak in the years playing here.
