Well, a cold afternoon in Torino witnesses a slow start for the team. The first 30 minutes the players seemed to be holding possession and not knowing what to do with it. During these minutes Treviso manage to create some chances but it was in the 25th minute where they caught Juventus napping and managed to take the lead in a well executed chance.

After the goal, Juventus seem to wake up and start conrtrolling more and push forward until Mutu equalizes after an Ibrahimovic cross from the right.

Chiellini managed to make some runs afterwards, shooting at the goal and by the end of thehalf delivering a ball to Trezeguet's most beloved spot. Taking the lead and letting his team set the second half they want.

The second half starts different from the first, where Juventus play with the character we got used to. Shutting down the opponents, slowing the pace when they have the possession and running fast towards treviso when possession is regained.

Capello does something new today by making the early substitution. Trezeguet who has done his job was replaced by Del Piero. After a few minutes on the pitch, the Juventus captain scores from a Zlatan cross from the right to break the record and become Juventus' all time scorer with 180 goals. Del Piero manages to hit the post from a free kick as well.

Abbiati was solid and cannot be blamed for the goal, the shot was somehow unreachable. Did some good saves and his presence was well. 6.0

The defenders did a good job and were all in the same performance. Kovac and Cannavaro were solid and did not make any mistake. 6.5 each.
The flanks were also solid and both Zambrotta and Chiellini did some good runs feeding the forwards. Chiellini gets a 6.5 for the assist and Zambrotta gets a 6.0

The midfielders were good, not creating much but cotrolling the ball. Mutu was our best player on the pitch in the first half and managed to equalize. I would give him a 7.0
Emerson was solid as usual but looked tired at times and that was mainly due to the fact that he had to work twice as hard and not only that, he had to cover for the vaccuum created by Blasi. Emerson gets a 6.0 and Blasi gets a 5.5 who has just there just because he was there.
Camoranesi played a better game than he has been playing earlier and did feed the forwards. He was active and he moved pretty much. 6.0 for Mauro.

Trezeguet was invisible as usual but managed to recieve a goal from Chiellini to net in the lead. Apart from scoring, nothing much to mention. 6.0
Zlatan was lively, moving a lot and creating havoc in the opponents defence lines. Assisiting two goals and doing a lot of work deserves a 6.5

Del Piero, just because he managed to break the record, score a goal and hit the post I will give him a 6.5.
    Zlayeta - no rating.

I want to add that Mutu takes my man of the match award and not Zlatan. This is due to the fact that he was the better player in the first half and this is where we needed a better player. Good performance Adrian, i hope we see more of him.

All in all the ratings for this match were a bit difficult as the whole team performed the same way more or less. Good game, solid performance and three more points in the bag. Looking forward to meeting Fiorentina twice in the coming week.

Typical Capello Juventus performance in which we were terrible in the first half, however picked up our play rather nicely in the second. For the first 30 minutes or so of this match Treviso matched us and in some parts actually were able to outplay us, and that really is pathetic I'm afraid. But after the Parravicini goal we suddenly woke up from our ridiculous stupor and started to play football, especially on the flanks where Mutu, Zlatan, and Camoranesi had total control of the game from there on out. After a good interchange by Camoranesi and Zlatan we got our first goal and the second came shortly after.

In the second half we played much better and looked so much more convincing...however nothing about the game provided something to write home about. We created a few decent chances and Del Piero :star: easily tapped home the third goal while Treviso basically sat back trying to cope with our pressure. Reginaldo gave us a couple scares in the second half and in some respect Treviso could have ended the match with more goals because we suddenly went to sleep again around the 75th minute or so. Del Piero had a rocket of a freekick slam against the crossbar and was unlucky not to get his second.

The defense was pretty much solid tonight apart from a few minutes of sleepiness that could have cost us even more...apart from that Treviso did not test us that much. The midfield was pretty good despite the absence of Vieira, however Blasi continues to show why he has to compete with Giannichedda just for a few minutes on the pitch. As I stated earlier, the flanks were very sound as Camoranesi and Mutu both played rather well tonight. The attack was just as sluggish as usual, however Treviso could not cope with us on the flanks and their defense struggled to mark our boys in the box. Same tactics from Capello as usual, however at least he gave Mutu the start so I'll give him a fraction of a point for that.

Abbiati really was not tested that much.

Zambrotta was solid, not tested defensively, and worked his way up the flank periodically during the match.

Kovac was particulary solid in Thuram's absence.

    Cannavaro same with Kovac.

Chiellini was particulary awful today and if he continues like this we will be in trouble. His passing and crosses were terrible and he looked like an entirely different player than in this past week's performance against Brugge.

Camoranesi had a decent match and combined very well with Zlatan on the right flank.

    Emerson was quietly solid today.

Blasi worked hard and all but gave the ball away too much and added nothing to our attack.

Mutu was man of the match in my opinion as he totally carried us in the first half of play. This man needs to start more regulary...that's all there is to it. How many times have I said this?

Trezeguet might have touched the ball five times and one of those was a brilliant tap in. Another sound performance.

Ibrahimovic was another candidate for man of the match because he was fantastic in the second half, toying with defenders and not giving the ball away so easily. He also set up two of our goals, so this improvement is great to see.

Del Piero broke the incredible record tonight and could have added another...brilliant performance from Il Capitano.

Nedved came in for a few minutes and made some decent plays.

Zalayeta might have touched the ball a couple times. First match since missing the dreaded penalty against the Aussies.

I'm happy we managed to win the game and grab the 3 important points.

I wasn't Impress at all with Juve's first half we didn't manage to take a shot in 30min untill Adrian Scored.

Second half went way better we showed some good Football, Ibra was superb in couple of moments. It seems he started learning when to pass the ball...thats a good thing. Hope he can continue on this way.

It was Obvious we kinda missed Patrick in this match not that it was a tough game or anything but It shows that there are some space in the midfield needs his presence. I'm waiting for him against Fiorentina.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abbiati.....Was only busy in a couple of shots....The goal he conceded wasn't his fault. I'm still happy with his performance, too bad we have him onloan. 6

Zambrotta....Didn't like his first half at all, he couldn't cross not even pass and he wasn't concentrating at all....The Second half he got his head on the pitch and started doing good. Tho he could have done better. 6

Kovac....He covered the space well and didn't allow anybody to enter from his side. I'm happy to have such a good repl defender. 6.5

Canna....Though he takes some blame of the first goal, but Fabio is just a Rock. Sometimes I enjoy more watching him than watching Ronaldinho. It's pretty obvious that for a player to over-take or pass Canna needs to work hard....But hard...6.5

Chiellini...He failed to Impress me today, did couple of mistakes could have costed the game probably when we were 0-1 down. If he was to play against Fiorentina, I hope he can keep his head on the pitch and Focus more. 5.5

Emerson....Probably one of the best players in the First half....Second half didn't do much...because the ball position was with us most of the time. Though It's better to have Patrick next to him...much Safer! 6

Blasi....I may disagree with lot of members today, The guy didn't do alot, that was obvious, but he was trying his best. His passes could not be that perfect but he was running alot giving the opponent hard time to open their space. Anyhow we all know that Patrick could have done better. But.....5.5

Camoranesi....Also Failed to Impress me today...the game somehow is moving slower when the ball is between his legs....He never tries to open with Zambrotta, he's always there to cross. I didn't see him getting back and helping. 5

Adrian Mutu....The guy isn't given enough time to prove himself, He's my Man of the match today, Though Zlatan also deserve it. But Mutu is just doing great whenever he's asked to play. His First goal changed everything. We started playing better after he scored. It would have been better for Capello to Subs Camoranesi with Neddy instead of taking Adrian out. 7.5

Zlatan....Was the most entertaing player, as I said up there, I'm glad he started knowing when to pass the ball....He did couple of wonderfull things. But again he should know how to keep himself Calm and not to get into troubles he's lucky not to recieve a yellow Card today. Well done overall. 7.5

Trezeguet....Was somehow invisible today. Though he scored, he did nothing apart from that. I would give him 6 just for the goal nothing more. 6

Del Piero....Juve's legend and Top scorer of all time. This player is just phenomenal. I really feel sorry that in these kind of moments he's not able to get a regular starting place. He's Inform doing great and scoring almost in every single game he's playing. Not to forget he only played for like 25min, If I'm not mistakken. That Freekick should have went in.
I'm glad to have such a Captain with his mentality and such a player to be Juve's top scorer of all time. Grande Alex. Grande Capitano. 6.5

    Just a try-out :D.

Abbiati: Did what he had to do. 6,5.

Chiellini: I'm still not impressed with the lad, but he didn't make any vital mistakes. His passing needs to improve soon. 6.

Zambrotta: Ok game from our captain, but I was disappointed with his offensive actions, he was far too predictable and didn't always know what to with the ball. 6.

Cannavaro: Didn't have much to do, but IMO the goal was partially his fault. 5,5.

Blasi: Not good enough. He played a horrid game, although I do believe he's capable of a lot more. 4,5.

Kovac: Didn't do much, simply because it wasn't necessary. 6.

Emerson: Looked slow and tired, yet didn't make any mistakes. Defensively he was alright, but if you're a central midfielder you need to show something in attack as well. 5,5.

Camoranesi: Fed the forwards and was creative in going forward. Not a brilliant performance though. 6.

Mutu: Our second best man out there and I simply don't understand why he's not always in the starting line up. He still seems a bit nervous, but I would consider to play him as the playmaker we so badly need. 7.

Ibrahimovic: MOM. A great performance of our giant Swede, although he still hogged the ball at times. Whenever he didn't, he was brilliant. Seems like he finally learnt how to play football. 7,5.

Trezeguet: Scored a goal, which is pretty much what he's there for. Other than that he wasn't involved in play much. 6.

Del Piero: A goal and a ball on the crossbar. That's pretty good for a sub. I don't know why people believe he isn't even in contention for a first team spot. 6,5.

Nedved: Didn't get very much time, but he wasn't very impressive either. Played a neat ball to Del Piero though after a splendid run without the ball. 6.

Another typical juve performance. Neglecting the Treviso opener, we never were in any real trouble. Treviso actually helped us win though, to be honest. Hadn't it been for their goal, we would not have gotten the jump start Treviso gave us and would've strolled on playing slowly and aimlessly. It was also the eyes opener, the defence needed as they had fallen asleep. The defence was lousy when Treviso scored, as the midfield(Blasi? Emerson?) should've covered the incoming Pavaracini(or however it is spelled..). Not much worries though, as within six minutes we were infront again. Besides against 'bigger' sides, our concentration would've been better and we would not have been caught napping.
Back to the goals that gave us the lead: The first one was a masterpiece, good team move set up by Ibrahimovic, who made a good one-two with camo and made a good low cross afterwards for Mutu to simply slide in.
The second goal was a typical Trezeguet goal, assisted by the overlapping Chiellini.

In the second half, we went back to our slow-paced selves. Pretty uneventfull, except for the Zlatan show. The Zlatan show being both negative and positive.
Positive, being his good tricked mixed with results. His childish reactions to everyime he lost the ball, being the negative. Del Piero killed off a harmless Treviso at the end of the match through another Zlatan assist.

All in all, i'm quite positive about this match. We played with little effort. We played better when we had to and looked solid in every position, including the bench.

    Ratings.
    Abbiati: 6
Kovac: 6 Pretty invicible, but made some good interceptions.
Cannavaro: 6 Pretty active, but did not do anything that special to rate him better than Kovac.
Zambrotta 6.5 Has played more comfortable and very attacking, without neglecting defensive duties. Does well in attack, which he often starts off. Some good initiatives from him.
Chiellini 6.5 The more modest version Zambrotta(skillwise). Impressed me more and more, with each game. Had an assist today, good award for a good match. Our fullbacks seem as one of the most important aspects of our team, as they defend well and are very involved in all the attacks.
Emerson 6 Some great passes, but a bit slow.
Blasi 6 Not that visible, but not bad either. Giving him below the 6 is a bit too harsh.
Camoranesi 6 Some good moves, but was very quiet the second half.
Mutu 7 Very active and some excellent moves capped of by a goal, which gives him the extra .5.
Ibrahmovic 6.5 Some great moves, but his childish antics, though very amusing, are unneassary.
    Trez 6 Typical performance.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First and foremost the most thing that really bugged me is the first 30 minutes of the match, total domination but really no will power. We just seemed relaxed and taking Trevisio lightly. This really amazed me actually, especially after Milan's match yesterday where Lecce almost got away with a point. The team seemed physically fit but not mentality fit, where believe it or not mental fitness plays a major role more than you could imagine. Only when we got stung from Treviso did we realize the precarious situation we were in. Its like Trevisio awoke the sleeping giant, where the giant should've been awake in the first place.

Abbiati should not be blamed for Trevisio's goal. IMO Canna over-anticipated where he should've tackled directly, and our defensive midfielders should't give such space for attackers to shoot. Other than the goal and a corner saved bravely by Abbiati Trevisio was not much of a threat.

The goal we conceded put our players under pressure and started playing more responsibly, even though the first two goals didn't seem to come from well organized attacks (especially the second goal where I don't know if Chiellini was crossing or passing or shooting, it was more of a fluke).

In the second half we seemed more effective and organized. Total domination again and well built attacks. Zlatan seems to finally forgo his old selfish ways and created a lot of chances with his same ol' bad boy attitude. As for Mutu, I believe that he has had a good match, but for reasons known to all, he seems more intent to show his abilities than moving the ball.

My ratings for the players today:

Abbiatti: Wasn't really tested except for one header and did well. Is not to blame for the goal. 6

Chiellini: After watching him in the previous 4 or 5 games, today I declare this player is over-rated. He is totally useless on the offense. Lots of bad crosses and passes. He produced one good shot though. 4

    Kovac: Not really tested 6

Cannavaro: IMO he is to be blamed for the goal. Also his long passes really bugged me. But all in all I think its unfair to give him less than 6.

Zambro: Wore the captain's armband. His forward runs were effective even though most crosses in the first half went bad. 6.5

Mutu: As mentioned earlier, was more intent on keeping the ball and showing his skills. A very nice move in the second half that almost produced a goal. good game. 7

Emerson: Held the middle well along with nice ball distribution. 6.5

Blasi: Was almost invisible in the first half. The second half he had a good forward run on the counter but delayed passing the ball to Alex. He also had a nice shot. 6

Camo: Seems to be off-form these days. Really bad crosses and not really effective. 5

Trezeguet: Other than the goal he was invisible also. 6.5

Zlatan: IMO man of the match. Although I think there is some problem between the communication with Trezeguet. For example in the first half he headed a ball very badly because of the sun glare, even though Trezeguet was in a much better position to score. But all in all, I am happy that he left his old ways of selfishness and created chances and distributed the ball very well. 8

Del Piero: The new King of Turin! Scored his 180th goal and broke the record . Also I was happy to see his set piece shot that hit the bar. I hope the old set piece Ale is back. Even though he didn't have enough time to prove his worth, he scored a goal. Or as the commentator of Al-Jazeerah said " Plays a little, scores a lot....speaks a little, does a lot". 8

Juve started this match slowly, like always,
preffered to guard our post and slowly but surely make some tries upfront and inevitable some time the precius winner goal,
the big difference this time was that we couldnt base upon our dynamic duo in the midfield to dominate the game in the center and start some attacking changes from there,
this time we had to use our flanks for all our creative game,
Camo and Mutu had to do this and they did fairly well(also our wing backs and even our forwards did this when they had the chance),they were fast and they were advancing towards the Trevizo's box
Mostly Mutu tried to penetrate with his dribble and Camo with his crosses, the first 30'minutes of the game althought dominating the game, we had no effective changes,
with all of our wingers and forwards in the Trevizo's half, Trevizo had the chance to create some danzerous counterattacks,
most of them were cleared by Cannavaro,
one of them wasnt cleared and treviso scored.
After the goal our players show the determination and attention they lacked earlier, they further increased the speed of their game and focused on scoring.
Treviso couldnt follow from there,we scored the equaliser and totally dominate them afterwards as they drew back,Trezequet scored the second goal and allowed Juve to relax holding the lead just before the half time.
One the second half we kept on the pressure and most of our players improoved their play(esp Zlatan) with their confidence boosted,
Juventus has no problem to defend a lead against a weaker opponent,
Capello started to substitute our forwards wich did a lot of work and runs,
our first substitute, our captain Del Piero managed to score a historic goal and finish off Treviso...

Abiatti -6.5 good game, did a few good saves,he couldnt do nothing to prevent that goal

Zambro -6 very average almost a ghost in the first half,a few crosses in the second

Kovac -6 average, chalenged or involved a little

Canna -6.5 he was the leader of our defence, the other defenders always make place for Canna to come in and make the interception, stopped almost all Treviso counterattacks alone

Chiellini 6.5 he did some mistakes defensively(not deadly ones fortunately) but he had a good contribution in the offence(and assist),he is improoving and gaining his confidence

Mutu 7.5 he was very positive, almost no mistakes,he did many runs, crosses and shoots, also a couple of times moved up in the center and demonstrated some playmaker skills, MOM with Zlatan. If Cap wouldnt subbed him... and Cap sould use him more...

Camo -6.0 did a lot of work(runs and crosses) but was very uneffective, esp in the first half, add some mistakes too

Emo -6.0 good defensive job, covered the missing Vieira but failed to contribute effectively in the attack,3very bad shoots, but he was asked to do more than a player's work

Blasi -5.0 and it would be worse if he wouldnt improove in the second half,
he did many mistakes and gave Emo a headache

Zlatan -7.5 he didnt scored but he did all the rest,he was so unpreddictable even his teammates coudnt follow him,but he had some frustrated moments too,
he was arrogant but not that egoist...

Trezequet -7.0 smth more than the usual Treze,he scored but he also track back some opponents and help a little to build our game, i saw him 2times in our flanks helping to build up a counterstrike and work as a winger,u cant see this everyday

Del Piero -7.0 he came in and did his job,his 180th goal was an offside but the legend scored many more valid goals dissalowed, nice FK

Zlayeta (if any ratings are possible)-5.5 touched 3times the ball and did 2 mistakes

Nedved -6.0 he did some runs,he was up to it but Mutu was fairly the first choice

For much of the match, I felt we played down to Treviso's level

We lacked concentration in the beginning of the match, but I felt as though Mr. Miyagi must have gotten into some of their ears and said "CONCENTRATE DANIEL-SAN " !!!!

When we did start to play, Treviso didnt have a chance, IMO...

    Here are my player ratings-

Abbiati: not too much to do. 6.

Chiellini: not impressed by him....he makes some very amateurish mistakes. Accidentally assisted on Trez's goal...I would feel much safer with Pesso/Zebina on the right, Zamby back on the left. 5.5

Zambrotta: I think he's better offensively on the left. 6.

Cannavaro: Wasn't too busy in there, did what he had to. 6.

Blasi: No glaring mistakes today..which is surprising for the "bus driver" 6.

Kovac: nice to finally have a decent sub at CB...see Canna. 6.

Emerson: missed an absolute sitter from Zlatan, but we didnt sign him as a goalscorer.....seemed to fatigue later into the game. 6.

Camo: a few mistakes, a few good plays...so so today 6

Mutu: I still see him as a striker, and he proved why. Good overall match. 7.

Ibrahimovic: The flick in front of the net to Emerson alone gives him the MOM...he passed well and showed he can be a team player. HE NEEDS TO CALM DOWN AFTER BEING FOULED...He is always a red card risk, IMO. 7,5.

Trezeguet: He scored when he had his chance, and was invisible much of the time. 6.

Del Piero: I have to borrow Seven's analysis on this one-" A goal and a ball on the crossbar. That's pretty good for a sub. I don't know why people believe he isn't even in contention for a first team spot". 6,5.

Nedved: IMO..he comes in the game, and brings Juve's energy to the next level. 6.

My ratings for today's game against Treviso:

Abbiati - Didn't have a great deal to do and wasn't at fault for the goal. 6

Zambrotta - Decent performance. No serious mistakes at the back but not as explosive as he can be in attack. 6

Kovac - He wasn't very noticeable which isn't a bad thing for a centre back. Not tested. 6

Cannavaro - Could have done more to prevent the Treviso goal. 5.5

Chiellini - Apart from one good shot and a lucky assist for Trezeguet he was poor. 5

Camoranesi - Not his best effort but not too bad either. 6

Emerson - Did his job as usual. 6

Blasi - Not a good enough replacement for Vieira. Reckless at times when defending and incapable of contributing to our attack. 5

Mutu - Our best player IMO. Good movement, nice touches and a goal. Adds a spark to the side. 7

Ibrahimovic - Good performance. When he wasn't trying to take on too many defenders he looked fantastic. Good passing, superb skill, two assists. 7

Trezeguet - Classic Trezegol performance. A complete non-factor in the build-up but lethal infront of goal. 6

Del Piero - Set up a good chance for Blasi, hit the bar with an excellent free kick and scored his 180th Juventus goal. Can't ask for much more from a sub. 6.5

Abbiatti : 6.5, Goal wasn't his fault, looked confident, made a good save from an early header and an offside player but showed his awareness.

    Canna : 7, Solid defense

Kovac : 6.5 solid also but not as dominating as Canna

Chillieni : 6.5 Again, apart from the mistake did good, One shot REALLY impressed me! More powerful than Roberto Carlos'! too bad a bit above the bar.

    Zambrotta : 6.5 consistant preformance

Emerson : 7 Held the midfield and distributed the ball left and right.

Blasi : 6 did his job, nothing more

Camoranesi : 7, Good crosses and good runs, Didn't look fast, but is always tactical about his moves.

Mutu : 7 Scored, Shined! made good runs and dribbles. He and Zlatan are Juve's new Jewels. He needs to start atleast ahead of neddy.

Zlatan : 7.5 2 assists and many good passes, hard to outshine this guy. Could be better with his header, but the sunrays are a reasonable excuse. :D

Trez : 7 Silent but deadly as usual. U'd think he's having a bad game but in reality thats just the way he plays.

DP : 7 Scored closer to the record, didn't doo much other than a great free kick which was unlucky

Neddy : 6.5 Came on and became alive, but I'd have to say Mutu is now best to start against Fiorentina.

Zalayeta: - he did come on right? no worries, he needs to take his time to get over the PK

I dont know why so many people are displeased with our performace. I think it was very convincing! Yes they didn't play their best, but against such small teams we rarely exhaust our energy. Chillieni just looked too comfortable but to be honest the whole team played like they were on the training grounds!
With that in mind I can't really rate a player below 6 which in my rating is considered an average/ok/suffice perfromance.

    Fiorentina 1 - Juventus 2
    Stadio Artemio Franchi

One of our better performances of the season despite looking terrible for parts of the first and second half. But knowing that any match at the Artemio Franchi is always going to be a difficult task for us, combined with La Viola's recent form, we handled the match better than I expected.

During the first 20 minutes or so we dominated the match as our possession and passing was for the most part very good and not to mention our movement in Viola's half was also excellent, which basically led to the first goal. But after that spell we fell asleep for another half an hour when Prandelli brought on Pazzini...thus causing Thuram and Cannavaro more problems after just having to deal with Toni. Not to mention La Viola hitting the bar twice with Toni and Ujfalusi efforts that could have easily went in...Thuram and Abbiati partly at fault for those, as well as Chiellini. We always seem to fall asleep at one point during our matches and this is not exactly good to see.

Second half we came out on the pitch looking rather lethargic and we never really looked as convincing as in parts of the first 45. Neither side dominated the second half and while we did limit Fiorentina to just a few chances we could not create much either apart from some long shots that went wide. The best chance of the half came when Ibrahimovic just kicked the ball up in the sky for Trezeguet to jump over the fresh substitute Pancaro and nod down to Camoranesi who had almost a breakaway. Very embarrassing for Pancaro and that move essentially won the match for us...thank goodness we are so efficient in front of goal.

As for the tactics of the match I was worried about Fiorentina getting too many crosses off and troubling us in the air with the presence of Toni. Sure enough La Viola were able to get too many crosses off because we did not close down tightly enough on the wings and not even Thuram and Cannavaro can handle Toni in the air. Luckily the crossbar was on our side and helped us win the match. I loved the movement between Trezeguet and Zlatan up top at the start of the match, and for once I was impressed with the way Zlatan moved the ball around the pitch in the first half...making the smart passes and not giving the ball away too easily. The second half was more of a stalemate and I don't like these late Capello substitutions...if you're going to bring them on do it earlier.

Abbiati wasn't very good except for stopping a point-blank Pazzini shot. 5.5

Zambrotta was noticebly inept today for some reason and just looked out of sorts. 5.5

Thuram made some great tackles and errors alike, however almost any defender will have trouble containing Toni at this point in time. 7

Cannavaro was solid apart from letting Pazzini win the header right in front of him. 6.5

Chiellini was crapini for parts of the match, and I don't like how he continues to give the ball away on simple passes. 5.5

Camoranesi was great on the right flank and nicely slotted home the winner. 6.5

Emerson was again our best player in midfield as he slotted the through ball to Zlatan for the first goal and totally shut down the midfield again. He has outperformed Vieira in the last few matches and hopefully he will continue because he's crucial to our success. 7

Vieira was extremely poor today and I really don't know whats going on with him...one time he decided to switch the ball while standing directly in the center of the pitch, thus shooting the ball 20 metres into the stands....as well as other moments of madness. Looks like Mr. Hyde compared to our September and October Dr. Jekyll.. 5.5

Nedved was invisible for most of the match and it's absurd how Mutu is not getting the start...just absolutely friggin absurd. 5.5

Trezeguet continues to show us why he's important to this side, and not worth letting go just to accomodate a player we don't friggin need in Cassano. David is in some of the best form of his career. 7

Ibrahimovic had a very good match, especially in the first half where he actually started to make the simple passes and not give the ball away too easily. Great improvement. 6.5

The other subs came on too late, especially Mutu.

    Quick match report:

Good game, especially the first half had some exciting stuff. One of the best halves(match-wise) i've seen all season.
We started out aggresive and gritty, while the fiorentina players were spread out over the entire pitch. Giving all the players a lot of space, making for an open match. A lot of chances for both sides mixed with good combinations and tense duels made for an entertaining first half. We took the lead soon, after Emerson punished some awfull Fiorentina defending with a good through ball. The through ball allowed Ibrahimovic free a passage to the fiorentina goal to assist Trez, to score into an empty net. After some chances again on both sides, I felt our side took control of the match and dictated the tempo of the game. Sadly though, it was Fiorentina who scored out of nowhere to equalise.

Second half was quite average, especially compared to the first half. With more and more irritations and aggrivations as the match went on. We were lucky to survive that Toni shot oof the post, after Vieria lost possesion(one of the many times he did so) and Abbiati made a big error in his judgement by leaving his goal. Luckily though the goal came for us in the final minutes, Trezeguet's leap of faith assisted Camoranesi for a simple finish.

    Ratings:

Abbiati: Hot and cold. Lucky more hot than cold. He made a few good saves. Though one major error, when he came out of his goal to meet Toni. Only for Toni's shot to hit the post. 6
Zambrotta: Was decent. Okay in defence and wasn't bad in attack. Some good moves in the latter stage of the match. Not his best match 6
Thuram: An animal in defence. 7
    Cannavaro: A beast. 7
Chiellini: Not his best so far, looked nervous on the ball. Otherwise non existant, like our entire left flank. 5.5
Vieira: Not his best so far... In fact, his WORST so far! He was absolutely awfull. After the match wore on, I got scared when Vieira got the ball. He lost the ball, ever so often. Made bad passes and his defending wasn't up to scratch. He was more of an added value to Fiorentina than to our team. Most of Fiorentina's chances, were created through the countless Vieira mistakes. 4.5
Emerson: Luckily Emerson, was their to cover for Vieira. Opposite to Vieria, he made great passes, set up a goal and did well defensively. 7
Nedved: Him and Chiellini were like ghosts. He wasn't involved in the play, untill the latter minutes of the game. Shame to see him play like this, especially with an in-form Mutu on the bench. 5.5
Camoranesi: My man of the match. Good play overall, Great tricks and skills. Beat Pasqual regularly and created quite a few chances. Not to mention scoring a goal. Shame he is out of the Cagliari match, due to a stupid foul 7.5
Ibrahimovic: Did pretty well. Another assist for him. Had some nice moves, and tried to find Trezeguet several times. 6.5
Trezeguet: Another typical Trezeguet performance, though +.5 for assist this time as well. 6.5

Capello 6: His well-oiled machine won again. Though I wasn't content with the way he handled the substitutions. Or better yet, how he did not handle them. Our left flank was non-existant, yet he does not bring on Mutu? With such a great bench, he wait's untill the '88th minute to make a substitution?

Today's match was one of the most entertaining match I'v seen this year for Juventus. I must admit that we had a 12th player on the pitch, the post saved our asses 3 times, Luca Toni hit the post twice and Ujufilasi with a blazing shot neither Abbiatti or Buffon could've done anything about it.

Seeing Zlatan since the beggining of the season, this player started to get on my nerves, I just dreaded every moment he got the ball. But after seeing Treviso and today I must say that we all should be looking forward for the Zlatan Moogi and Capello have been promsing. Zlatan and Trezeguet seemed to be a lethal duo, Zlatan left his selfish methods, and actually seems more intent to help the team a goal instead of getting a goal himself. Zambrotta as always reliable on the defence and awsome on the offence, I just loved his forward runs, it really created a threat on Frey's goal. I would just love to see him concentrate a little bit more with his crosses. As for Camo, two awesome runs in the first half where he dribbled pass two Viola defenders and set up the ball for Zlatan. Frey's incredible reflexes stopped Zlatan from bagging the second. The other run wasn't much of a threat but it was nice to see Camo's magic once again. Thanks to his late second half goal I have a sore throat right now. Like Zambro I would like to see Camo concentrate a bit more with his crosses.

But this match is not all hailing, Vieira looked awful. Lost the ball a lot, wrong passes, he held the ball way too much in some instances. I just hope that he realizes that he is in Italy and not playing in the EPL. As for Chiellini I didn't see anything that could convince me that he deserves first team football. True he was better than Treviso but still I do not think that he meets Juventini aspirations.

    My Ratings:

Abbiati 6.5....Could not be blamed for the goal. But his rushing off towards Luca in the second half raised lots of questions in my mind...why did he rush off up to him only to stand and watch the ball go by him? All in all he saved our asses on a couple of other occassions and I would love to see him continue with us.

Cannavaro 6.5...Pazzini was faster than him for the header and scored a goal...Other than that I think he was solid

Thuram 7.0...Great Match stopped Luca on a lots of occasions

    Zambrotta 7.0... Great match

Chiellini 5.5...Still not convincing me that he is Juve calibre. He seemed nervous, and when he doesn't know what to do he just crosses haphazardlly

Emerson: 6.5...Just loved his setup for Zlatan, wonderful communication between the two. He held the midfield quite well.

Vieira 5.5 Lots of mistakes, hogging the ball, bad passes....Patrick please think about todays match before you sleep tonight.

Nedved 6.0...Wasn't really effecient besides two shots that also went wide.

Camo 6.75...I would not inflate his rating just because he scored the goal, I am still disappointed with lots of his crosses.

Trezeguet 6.5...Scored the first goal and assisted the second. But missed a couple of other chances that couldv'e been converted to goals.

Zlatan 7...Assisted the first goal and I would consider him co-assisted the second, he did everything except score.

Now it is my turn for the report

An entertaining game displayed by both teams and a good performance by Juve, putting the pressure on Viola and Viola hit the woodwork. We were quite lucky to win to be honest, but nonetheless we managed to grab the 3 points out of this game, which is a relieving result. This isn't an easy win as expected, but we beat them convincely.

I don't understand y did we slow down after scoring a goal, and let Viola counter attack and scored through a Pazzini header. IMO we should keep up attacking and destroy Viola.

Abbiati: Was sharp and made a few nice saves, including 1 fierce Brocchi shot. However, there is bad communication between him and the defenders that almost led to Toni to score, only to be rattled by the woodwork. I wouldn't say no if he would be our back-up keeper 6.5

Zambrotta: Lovely combinations with Camo on the right. Even though he has been ok at the right, however he's better on the left. 6.5

Thuram: Solid defending, holding Toni off by some nice positionings and troubling the Viola offence time and time again. 7

Cannavaro: Responsible for the goal and the bad communication against Abbiati, which allow Toni to capitalize. Definitely not his day 5.5

Chiellini: Made some nice passes initially, but resulted to using long balls in the 2nd half which always land on a Fiorentina player. I still prefer Zambro to be on the left. However in Capello's mind, it is time to use Chiellini and put Zambro as RB for the injured and out-od-favour Zebina5.5

Camoranesi: Good performance by him. Despite making a few fouls and some poor crosses I can see him improving He even used his physical strength to battle out with the Viola defenders and winning corners. I love the guitar goal celebration. Good work and keep it up! 7

Emerson: Another day in performing a good job, need me to say more? 7

Vieira: He's solid as a rock. Fulfilled his defensive duties. However his passing is way off. 1/2 of his passes reached a Viola player and a ridiculous pass to dunno who which resulted in a throw for Viola. Definitely not his day. 5.5

Nedved: Started out positively in the 1st half, but was pretty invisible in the 2nd half. Should have been put to the centre. Even though ur 1 of my favourite players, I really think that Mutu should be starting.5.5

Zlatan: Impressive passing in the game today, and added assists to his name again. Wrecked the Viola defence and contributing to the team. I would love to see him perform like this for the rest of the games, especially CL games. However his finishing still leaves something to be desired. Tried to score, only to be denied by Frey7

Trezeguet: Another day of his usual task, which is scoring. 6.5

Capello : Did his job well and managed a win in Viola at their homeground which we failed to achieve for quite a while. However he should have subbed Nedved with Mutu in the 60th minute and take Vieira off. Overall his job is done.6.5
