EuroMax is love, life, our air and water.

Honestly he got blood out of a stone tonight. I thought the midfield two backfired badly in the first leg but he was forced a little, tonight it might have been forced with injuries again but the added width and forcing them to play through the middle is our bread and butter.
I don't know if it was luck, or just sheer genius but Pocchettino must be going to bed tonight thinking how the fuck he didn't qualify

I really hope sarri watched this game in tears given that ugly gritty football prevailed yet again

He fucked up this tie from start to finish. It's the first time in the CL that I can say I'm disappointed by his tactics. The subs in the 2nd half saved his ass. He waited a bit too long to add Sturaro and switch to 5 midfielders.

But in the end, he did just enough to get the result in probably his worst period of tactics, which tells you why he is great.

And it should be clear by now that he is not a defensive coach. He is a huge, huge risk taker with how he bets hard on Dybala/Higuain to convert. We are basically a man down in defence...

:agree:

Overall our tactics were terrible over the 2 legs, but when we needed him the most he did a masterstroke.

I thought we were done after 1st half... couldnt keep the ball, not a single shot on target, shaky defense, etc... Incredible

no bernardeschi, no cuadrado, no mandzukic, no pjaca, no attacking sub option on the bench? max changes the game anyway, with 35-year-old LICHTSTEINER.

biggest troll of the football world. gotta love max :allegri:

He wasn't helped by the abysmal technical performance of our team over the ties. Especially the passing from defence, but also the midfield made a lot of errors. It's not like Spurs are the first team we've ever faced who pressed.

We can only get better, hopefully those forwards can get a run of games and fitness back because playing with no midfield and then no real attacking outlet (aside from Costa) means you are playing small percentage stuff, and that relies on efficiency and spirit.

On a side note, beautiful football was played on the island today, Ciry managed to complete 997 passes with 72% possession. They lost but it doesn't matter when you have these numbers, it's the only thing that matters.

Oh uh. You'd better wish we don't draw City in the next round.

Also never deploy Barza at RB again, Mister.
