CONTEXT. Jesus, man. Nobody thinks we've played really attractive football this year; obviously. The team has been imbalanced from the start of the year, and the past two plus months has had a massive injury crisis to contend with. That's the point, there are obvious reasons why this team is struggling for form. Maybe try giving our games your full attention, and you might realize that.
Ugly as hell for much of this season, but last year is a different story -- don't give me this 2 years BS. We played a pretty entertaining 4-2-3-1, got up and down, played with structure but scored quite a few goals -- and some very pretty ones along the way. Moved the ball around pretty well. My close friends, who are basically EPL or La Liga folks, cheering for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, United, Dortmund, Madrid, etc., loved watching Juve in Europe. Announcers around the world fell in love with this team, to the point they were overhyped, and considered favourites by some against Madrid.
You think we played unattractive football in 2015, with that midfield and attack? Again, what are you talking about? That Juventus was great to watch.
This forum is ridiculous right now, but spare me you trying to lump the posters into one big pot. We may have a lot of fair-weather fans, but most of the folks who were on here when I started, and basically all of the quality posters I read around here, don't simply think we need to play more attractive football. They understand there are some pretty unusual circumstances directly affecting the team right now, and that things won't get ironed out until we get a lot of players back -- and probably not until we get reinforcements in the summer, to properly balance the midfield. This is a team that spent it's money on wingers this year, and we now have 3 attackers healthy for the second leg against Tottenham.
One of them - Higuain - isn't particularly healthy.
The world
has changed. Beyond accessibility, we've got a bunch of spoiled fans who can't remember what it was like to go through Calciopoli, who have taken for granted 6 consecutive Scudetti, 3 consecutive Coppas, and 2/3 CL finals. Fans who are always playing at 'the grass is greener', who want us to have the most spending power despite that not being realistic. Frankly, trying to spend big like that would be a road to ruin at the moment. Fans who can't understand that there are fundamental issues at play in Italian football that need to be addressed to raise the revenue stream and appeal of Juventus and Italian football in general.
Playing highly attacking tactics is not going to magically transform this team into a top 5 revenue earner. It's a pretty damn complicated issue, as I tried to point out - and as you totally ignored - in the last post I wrote. Which is why discussions like this are a waste of time.
Maybe you should simply pick another team, already?
