Agreed.

Personally I love players with tough mentality that's my style but then I see the likes of Lippi back in the days and I say to myself tough mentality is important but tactic genius vision wins you more games.

By the way, Allegri has been immense, and I believe this season is tougher than the last two seasons and he's managing it well.
I also think that this season, the players have more motivation than ever before. For the last several years, the overwhelming opinion was that it was Conte, Conte, Conte who brought Juve the success. Well, if we as fans constantly hear about this, imagine how the players would react.

This was the perfect motivational tool for this season and beyond. For the players to go out and say "Hey, we had something to do with it as well, you know."

A perfect chance to throw up their middle fingers at those who thought it was all about Conte, and no else. That middle finger obviously does not go to Conte himself, but those who predicted doom upon his departure. Granted, there is still a half season left to go, but this is a better, deeper, more athletic squad than last year.

Could you only imagine what could have happened at this time last year if Asamoah was out for practically the whole season so far, Barzagli HAS been out for the whole season so far, and arguably the 2nd best player on the squad (Vidal), playing as poorly, by his standards, as he did in the first 4 months?

Ooof.

This is one of the major reasons i started to stop trusting after the bayern games. We were set on automatic from the get go no matter what we faced. This was so wrong on many levels.

Great post- and vice versa, Max gets a chance to redeem himself after he was clearly shat on in Milan as an 'average coach'.

Between this and what you said it's a match made in heaven, and clearly both parties have brought into it. There's a really nice atmosphere around the club at the moment, and a lot of this comes down to Max's diplomatic traits. It's quite a pleasant change from the Conte 'dictatorship' days with those sometimes ridiculous rants - you can see why Berlusconi really wants him.

The management seems to have pulled off a masterstroke, though I'm not really sure they intended this effect; to me it seemed a quick fix in the midst of the chaos from Conte's resignation.

That being said, so far so good, but it's still early in the season and I'm hesitant about making assumptions now., the league is hardly won yet, though I can't help but feel optimistic.

However I think we're approaching a new phase that's going to determine if we continue along this tangent.

I think 2 things (that are interlinked) will determine this:

1. Max gets us to progress past Borussia Dortmund.

2. The management shows some backbone and keeps Pogba past this season.

Pretty obvious stuff really.
