Problem with Bonucci is just his brainfarts - and whenever it happens, it's a huge one at that! Otherwise he's a really good defender, esp. in 1 vs 1

I am liking Allegri's interviews so far, seems like an intelligent man, but I don't think he can impose his ideas/change things abruptly - feels like he's slowly transitioning the team

Having said that our last performance was pretty pathetic so I hope he can see through the winter break on top still.

he has certainly stepped up his game this season. and he's only 27. look at how italian defenders mature and play well in their 30s

His defending has been steadily getting better.

Even if he was our best CB, that doesn't make him part of a list that includes those kind of players.
I have to admit he has gotten better this year. But I still don't trust him in any defending sitiuation whatsoever.

3 consecutive coaches (plus 3 NT managers) seem to trust him and rate him. Must be doing something right.

That's not how you measure things, and you know that. Even Ranocchia and Giovinco (and hell even Peluso) got called to the national team a number of times. Besides, I'm not saying hes shiit, he's just no top defender. He is decent at most. Definetly makes me laugh to see his name besides Thiago Silva.
