As soon as Barzagli comes on in any match, it's over.

He's not that great anymore in an open match where his pace can get exposed, but when we're sitting deep he's still amongst the absolute world's best.

Plus he's the definition of calma. Rock solid. Just what you need in the last 10-15 minutes of a knock out game

Yep. You could see he made like 3 interceptions immediately after coming on. Imperious.

His next test is managing the squad for the rest of the season. If one of Higuain, Mandzu, Cuad or Pjanic goes down, we're in trouble for the semis.

Also surprised to see Lemina has passed Sturaro in the pecking order. Thought he would get some action over the course of the two legs, and wondered if he would bring on Stu for the tired Mandzukic

I think Lemina is just more the obvious choice for Cuadrado on that side, he's played as a right midfielder before for Monaco. Sturaro looks like the Mandzukic sub right now (lol), but Mario seems to have better stamina, or at least manage his game better than Cuadrado, who is always expected to use up a lot of energy as an outlet.
