What Allegri did took balls, plain and simple. He could have easily benched him against Empoli. But to do it in a UCL match, on the road? That takes some guts
The way Allegri dealt with this case was incredibly impressive. He even admitted that 1. Bonucci was unlucky, because if this has been the first such incident this season he would not have been likely to be punished and 2. that he hadn't been dealing all that well with some things this season himself.

Truly words of wisdom and a sign that we have an intelligent, experienced man as a coach.

Yeah, I've had many criticisms of Allegri but the way he dealt with this incident was simply masterful. A watch and learn example to other ego-maniacal tacticians too.

He did the most sensible thing which was to keep the 3-5-2 and then gradually change things. I dont think im saying anything different to what your saying. We're on the same page. My point being he came in, took a winning team, took a winning formation and for first part of the season kept things rolling before tweaking and chopping changing as necessary. Sensible coach, played it safe. But then took it to a whole new level. I aint criticising him, all im saying is he played it safe for the first couple of months which aided in his success.

This is exactly what i like about Allegri, his patient approach, he calmed the tenacity down which we had with Conte. At the end it brought a system of balance. This guy deserves much praise but theres no two ways about it, his predeccessor left him a team of experienced winners, which made his life easier.

This I agree with entirely.

I also have been very impressed with how Allegri has dealt with losing 6 of the starting XI from that CL run 2 years ago... (Tevez, Morata, Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal, Evra)... Very impressive to deal with squad change that big and hardly miss a step.

That howler ain't happening with Barzagli and Chiellini, bro. This isn't Manchester City, bro.
And chiellini has never fucked up? I love him but even he can be error prone

It was the management who made the decision so he would be exempt of blame and TBH it may have been more blameworthy if he occupied a position of which there was no decent cover. The good thing about this season is there is ample cover everywhere so we are in a better position to stamp our authority.
Allegri dropped him not the club. The club supported his decision though as you would expect

What if my father was a billionaire? I can't help but wonder.

Stop putting stupid scenarios when the match is over.
He probably would have sent you to a high end educational boarding school in switzerland

All his work bonding with the players really pays off. Two years ago we had such a solid group of friends playing for each other and celebrating everything together. We lost key members of the group and now we can see how everybody celebrates goals when they had nothing to do with the move.

I doubt that, he's not into such a prestige. He admires the fact that I spent most of my childhood time on the streets.
I didn't spend enough time on the street. When I was at my Dad's house he encouraged it but I mostly lived with my Mother who was always afraid that something would happen to me if she let me go outside.

Definitely gonna encourage my kids to get the fuck out of the house, play football in the street and fall out of trees.

I wish Allegri was my Dad.
