A better team takes their chances and this game ends alot differently.
That's on Vlahovic and a marginal offside call tbh, would be a big win. But obviously loads to improve on. The slacking off is a classic thing even the dominant Allegri teams did and it is very annoying.

"Di Maria did it all" comments are funny, that's precisely what he is supposed to do, provide assists. It's not surprising to see a difference in quality between Di Maria and McKennie when they get into position to make a final pass. Allegri doesn't control the quality of either player, he picks them, and McKennie seems to be a current favourite for some reason. But we had different openings tonight as Maccabi tried to play. CL football is often like that, Serie A not so much as teams defend deeper and counter more.

Both would likely get to 11 points though? I think the best we can hope for is 10, which is difficult.

We need Maccabi to pick up some points. Usually teans don't finish on 0 points. I'm worried they'll take something from us away.
It is highly unlikely that you can't beat the top two teams and expect to qualify otherwise you would hope that Benfica beat psg so last game between psg would be a virtual knockout match.

When a player has good stats under Allegri they save his ass with individual efforts. When they struggle Allegri ruins them.

When Vlahović wasn't scoring it was we don't create enough for him. When we do create and he misses it's focusing on the defense and how a real team would score 10 goals against us.

When we don't win against bad teams even it's 'you don't need Mbappe to win against Samp', but tonight is the prime example of how you do sometimes. Because there's no chance in hell Cuadrado or any other offensive player makes one assist Di Maria did tonight from open play, let alone 4-5 of them. And then you'd have people here saying Allegri doesn't let them go forward, doesn't know any patterns, we cannot create anything because of him etc. but it shouldn't take a miracle worker to make the simplest passes in space and just make an effort.

That's what I've been saying here from the start - it's a shared blame - but the stalkers and throating (whatever that is) fanatics don't have common sense.

Thankfully they're at least trying to fix it now together - players and the coach. They didn't give up, that's the most important thing

Well Di Maria can only do it all if you play a faster tempo and get the ball to him with runners to find. So let's just keep doing that maybe.

Having Cuadrado at RB makes a difference. Or any fullback really as long as they are aggressive.

Unfortunately Cuadrado seems to be seriously on the decline to me, so the assists from the side of McKennie and Cuads are going to be random and sporadic at best. Di Maria you know has the vision and technique to pull off several a game. Kostic will chip in with a few because he has a strong cross and will but his are more deliberate and percentage balls. The rest have to be generated by Rabiot and Locatelli playing off the forwards, and they are not consistent.

“I was very angry at the end, because you can’t just leave the game in the final 15 minutes and start messing around. You get the chances to score five or six, but if you concede one and then get scared, that is really damaging.

“The lads were intelligent though, because when we got back into the locker room it was deathly silent, no celebrating. That showed me they realised what had happened.

“We tried to be a bit too pretty and then got scared. Let Di Maria do what Di Maria does, let the others focus on what they need to do.”

Yes man does his job well. But another man is reliant on players and not any tactics strategy or training.

ADM getting a bunch of assists against Macabi Haifa should be simple simon.

ADM and team deserves credit. Max zero

When your best player does everything, except score all of the goals or any of the goals, a win is really a loss.

He’s only been spamming across the forum “ADM saved Allegri” like he is RUS’ doppelgänger….

Unhealthy wins like the past two weeks will be the death of us all, comrade.

Yeah still a pessimistic feeling but the road is still very long, albeit possibly in EL. We should’ve had games like this against Salernitana and Monza
I’m at peace with the fact that we are playing EL football on Thursday nights this season. It’s fucked and will be another bad hit to our finances.

Serie A needs to be the sole focus soon and making sure we end up in the top 4.
