The way we have been playing recently is trying to find space on the wings so we can either send in a low or high cross in the box with Ronaldo and Mandzukic up front. To find space on the wings, we need to switch sides rapidly, which is the responsibility of our central midfielders, Pjanic and Bentancur. If these players don't attempt long passes bit simple pass it to the closest player next to them, we will never break down opponents. That's why Bonucci in so important because he is capable of skipping a whole line and create space on the wings. If all of this doesn't work, we will endlessly cross from very deep on the pitch which is just too easy to defend.

26 touches, all game. Passing accuracy 53.9%. 2 shots, 1 keypass.

Even when Ronaldo has a shit game, he produces 5 times more. Dybala came on with only 20min and produced same output as Mandzukic.

How long does it take to realize that this guy kills our team leaving us playing 10 against 11.

He has his use in the air, but even with tons of crosses, it rarely works out.

Loved the guy in the last 3 seasons, currently my favorite player in the team but he sure is like Pirlo in his last season with us.

Allegri kept playing him while we had a better player in Pereyra in that year. He could have field a midfield of Pogab, Vidal, Pereyra and Marchisio in the final and we sure would have played better. But he was too stubborn to do that.

If you are going to use him, then send the ball to his head so he can drop it to Ronaldo or Dybala. Otherwise, don't play him.

The amount of times we pass the ball in our own 3rd in horrible spots is inexcusable. Why does Costa pass to Alex Sandro instead of smashing to Mario? Why does Pjanic pass to Matuidi in the game before instead of smashing to Mario? Why do we take short goal kicks every time and get pressed, then concede a throw?
Why would we only play a highball to Mandzukic? He's very sound technically and Allegri himself said many times that Mandzukic is very good with the ball at his feet and rarely makes a wrong pass. For the second part of your post, have you thought about the fact that if we played every second ball to Mandzukic he would run out of gas after 30 minutes?

Well yes, we should play it to his feet as well. The more we use him as a target in any capacity, the more value you will get out of him. If possession and slow build-up isn't working, then why not use him as a target?

Also, I didn't say we should send every second ball to him so you are arguing with yourself there.

Very sound technically? Of course Allegri should say that, a professional is ofcouse sound. But there is a reason why we don't play him to his feet, why he never makes a dribble (Chiellini has more), why he averages 25 touches on the ball per game, why his passing accuracy is 50-60% each game, 20-30 lower than the rest. It is not because of great ball control and strength as a targetman.

Yeah their stats are similar. Trying to bring some perspective to a very biased obsession about a player who doesnt really do much for us.

Haha I have been quiet some times when he has been shit. I think it is more telling that the hardcore fanboys doesn't have any comments when he doesn't score. As if scoring a tap in, makes them think he did amazingly well.

So many retards show up every time we lose a match.

Dude has scored in almost every big game possible in his career, but Amauri and Iaquinta are as good if no better :lol3:
But if their goal per minute rate is similar, what's your point then? Iol, such nonsense argument.

I think it is extremely funny that you defenders of Mandzukic doesn't even have stellar arguments to show that he is contributing more and is a better player than two players we all agree on were shit. We didn't consider them legends or anything near that, for good reasons.
