Treating players, coaches and surroundings with respect is different from loyalty. Marrone and Ashton is probably still on the payroll because their wages are way higher than any other club wants to pay them. The same can be said about Llorente. I think you are being naive here. In the 25 years I have supported, Juve have always been tightly managed, with players coming and going, but with the only aim of winning. If you want to believe some fairytale band of brother story then go ahead, but dont start teaching me stories about what the goals and history of the club is and then get our facts distorted.
You not seeing or understanding these values doesn't make them any less true. You are allowed to think whatever you want but branding them as "stories" or "naivety" seems very odd to me. I hope that in the next 25 years of watching Juve you find something more than just the financial side of the club to look up to and feel proud of.

I would sell him in the summer for 35m, but definitely not during winter, he's way too important for our CL campaign. But I don't think he wants to retire from serious footie at the age of 30, the guy is too much of a fighter, they'd have to pay him very silly money

People are wondering how much his replacement would cost and would reject the offer based on that, which is the wrong way of looking at this. The Mandzukic transfer and the one where we buy his potential replacement arent connected money wise. Mario was bought for 19M, 2 seasons (or 1.5 seasons, no idea if this is for summer or now) later we get an offer of 35M which is something the board will consider obviously if it's true. The positive gain is too big for a 30 (soon 31) year old 2nd choice CF not to. Agree with those who say we should reject it if it's this winter though, we still need Manbro for the CL (cant play Higgy in dat final) and if the offer is still there come summer i can see us accepting it (i would personally still reject tho, Manbro for life). As for his replacement, id trust Beppe to find a similar opportunity again as was Mandzukic in 2015 so i wouldn't worry about it like some do

This, definitely not selling this winter, but next summer i'd sell him.

First of all...I think the 35 mil is too good to be true.
Second of all...from a business perspective it really makes sense and I think Zaza could cover up for him decently against weak opposition.
He's 30 years old and his value will decrease rapidly. This is almost like free money. All we're sacrificing is a big of sporting advantage as he's a a really good backup striker.

But again...from a business perspective it's a no brainer.

If Real offered us 100 mil for Higuain next summer I'd sell in a heartbeat.

The only players that cannot be sold no matter the price are Buffon, Marchisio, Bonnuci, Dybala and Alex Sandro.
Should we sell all players over 30 if a club offers us money for them?

All we are sacrificing is "sporting advantage"? Let me tell you a secret - Juventus is a football team,
And having players like Mandzu makes sure we end up on top of the table, earning the club money.

Zaza could cover well "against weak opposition"? Yeah, but we won't play weak opposition only.

How can you not understand how great it is to have a striker like Mandzu available to cover for Higuain?

Take the money and run. Lets face it. Hes a 30 year old backup CF and 35 mio is to good a offer to refuse. With another 35 mio in the transferbudget there is a chance we could lure Veratti away from PSG this summer, or have the money to buy James in january. A front line of Pjaca, Dybala, James, Higuain and Zaza is mouthwatering.
For 35 mil I'd ship him on the first flight to China.
Knowing that Zaza is coming back I'd sell him even for 30 mil.

We bought him for 18, and now he's 30 and a half, going through the form of his life but I fear it might not last that much.
Considering we have Pjaca, Zaza and Kean as backups...I'd sell.
With that kind of money you can get an upgrade in the summer.
Hang yourselves

You are making this way too black or white. Not selling loyal hard working players who contribute to the teams success doesn't mean neglecting the financial aspect of running the club it just means that every decision is not solely based on money. We have a history of not pushing players out of the door and even when we do so it's usually on the players terms, that to me counts as loyalty. We have guys like De Ceglie and Marrone still on the payroll, we let Llorente go for free just so he could go to a team that he wants and probably get a better wage as well, we let Tevez go and "retire". We definitely have a history of treating players very well, shouldn't be too hard to notice that in 25 years.
We treated everyone well. Except for Ale :(

Obvs 35mil for mandzukic is a great deal for us but then we have what? 2 strikers?

Pjaca is not a fw, kean has no experience at this level, and Zaza is sorta decent but overrared around here and he shouldnt be anything above 4th choice which, guessing by the loaning out, he will bitch about.

Tho if we can resign morata for that 35mil im for it:tuttosport:
Fuck morata, mandzo 4 life

If we sell Mandzukic we need a better or same level striker. Any striker of his ability will cost over 30mil. (although i like zaza, he is not good enough to be his replacement)
Maybe a striker like chicarito could do the job but he will cost quite a bit.

No better than the summer to sell, if they're offering 35 mill.

Yes, a replacement on a similar level to him would probably cost more than that, but we have to replace him eventually anyway. And the longer we keep him, the less we get from his sale from which we can buy his replacement.

But wouldn't mind keeping him anyway. We're doing well financially and can probably afford his replacement when the time comes without the 35 mill.

Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan are prepared to offer €35m for Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic, according to reports.

The Croatian striker is a fan favourite in Turin for his all-action style, and has scored five goals in all competitions this season, as well as providing two assists.

However, Corriere della Sera is reporting that Beijing Guoan are ready to test the Bianconeri’s resolve with a €35m bid.

In addition, a huge salary would be put on the table for Mandzukic, who currently earns around €3.5m per season.

Juve would be hesitant to sell, given their lack of depth in attack, but the reported fee for a 30-year-old could prove tempting.

Dybala cost 42m, Marotta is capable of buying well with that kind of money. But I'm really doubtful chinese will offer Mandžukič enough to give up CL footie for Chinese league

135mil for Juve + 50mil/season to Mandzo, then we start negotiations

You really are a simple person tbh.

Mandzukic is a first team player. They challenge for a spot when they are in great form, and are there exactly to make sure the quality doesnt drop when a player is in poor form, bad shape, or unavailable.

You know, to avoid you'd have to play a backup player.
Wow the bodybuilder with the IQ of 80 calls me simple.
