i hate these fucking presidents who think because they have a hyped player they can act all tough and feel like a fuckin star when in fact your club need loans/co-owns from other clubs to put a team together.

if he ends up going napoli that would be a wrong career move on so many levels...an besides..if when pescara plays napoli at san paolo next season he gets more of a sensation than when pescara plays at Juventus Stadium then the fella deserves to play in that garbage city...

Good. Let's see how he cope with Serie A. I have a feeling he'll flop, but only because he's too young and the expectations will be really high after all the hype up this summer. So, next summer his value will hopefully drop down compared to this one.

Just a guess.

But if he signs for Juventus his value will increase and he will become WC?

Could it have been that he totally refused to go to Napoli & Pescara wanted the extra cash so the only option was to take him off the market?

Veratti obviously rejected Napoli or Pescara tried to use Napoli interest to black mail us, anyhow, they fucked themselves. He will be ours because the player wants us and will wait.

It's really cool that he totally refuses to go to Napoli. The mercato is long, and I'm sure Marotta and Paratici will talk to Pescara again soon. Perhaps a deal can be made in July or something. When they realize that they're too much in need of the cash + that they have a depressed player in their ranks :klin:

Look this is good, it is obvious that he doesn't want Napoli, as long as we are sniffing around anyway. He is off the market, I prefer to hear that rather than Napoli being ahead as it simply means he only wants us and Napoli are out.

Yes. I realise it's a dangerous position to put myself in, but going from all the interviews I've read and seen with Verratti, I'm totally confident there was no way he was going to join Napoli when Juve were still interested.

The player has even stated that Pescara and Juve are his clubs, so it was one or the other here if Juventus maintained interest.

The Pescara president has been playing this game for over a month now. There was an interview with him when he said something along the lines of "a lot of clubs are interested from Germany, Spain, England and Italy like Milan". Casually dropping in names to try and put pressure on Marotta/Paratici to make a bigger offer. Then lately he said that Verratti is a professional and he'll join Napoli, to which I presume there was no change in offer from Juventus and Verratti didn't want to go there, so he remains fully owned by his hometown club.
