There was an Australian midfielder who plays in the turkish league that Juve signed, allegedly for the sole purpose of including him in the Verratti deal.

From Radio Crc:

Antonio Martino, delegate of Pescara spoke on Radio Crc,
"Verratti to Juventus? Verratti is a player of Pescara. He expressed his feelings about his wish to play for Juventus and we want to make him happy but Napoli's offer is very good. We might even take the player off the market altogether. Our rapport with De Laurentis is great and we never said that we have not been in contact with him. Yes everybody knows that Verratti is a Juve supporter but he also supports Pescara. Napoli's offer has always been better than Juve's and it has never been rejected so I would not count out a future of Verratti playing in Napoli blue. In the next few hours we will know more. Marotta and Paratici are not on the same page as us and they don't have the same views as Napoli. The third hypothesis, which I won't exclude, is to take Verratti off the market. Pescara are not in desperate need of money and money isn't everything, what matters is the players joining Pescara. Bariti and Santana might be added in a deal for Verratti on co-ownerships but if Insigne remains at Pescara one more year, then Napoli may well have one hand on Verratti."
Seems 2 days old.

The deal for Verratti has become complicated. In regards to James Troisi, the player Juventus wanted to include in the deal, the problem is his wages (550,000 euro a season). It is too high for Pescara who have now requested that Juve hand over 1.5 million euro instead of the Australian. This request has been rejected by Juventus.

"Marotta and Paratici not on the same page as us." I kind of like that, actually :D

Still, it's a shame we're missing out on such a talent. Feel bad for the kid too, he really wanted to wear our colors.

If that is the case, and Napoli do indeed have a better offer, then so be it.

It would be a shame, though.
If it's true they want +1.5m instead of Troisi because of his wages, then fuck them. Suddenly we are paying almost 9M for HALF of a young kid who has performed at serie B. Nonsense, unless he's the new Messi.

This really.

Lets hope they pull it off.... but not at the expense of us looking like fools bending over a small serie b team.
