In defense of Marotta.
We are now the champions.
We are in a strong negotiating position.
In a position we havent been in a while.
We can now strike such deals, in better terms for us. In better terms than ever before.
We might not be champions next year, so we might have to pay even more for the same.
Therefore its natural that Marotta is taking the maximum of our current status.
Esp considering that until the Euro is concluded, no major transfers will take place, so now, is the most appropriate moment to wrap up such deals.
Even our board may understand this unique opportunity and approve an extra budget allocation, for such long term opportunity targets.

In short, we benefit from our Champion+financial status to secure ownership of the most promising players of the currently available crop.

 We have young players (or at least 23-24 and under) for almost each position now either at the club, away/going to be away on loan or co-owned. Marotta and Paratici have done a really great job.

Just to name a few...Verratti, Pogba, Leali, Isla, Asamoah, Sorensen, Immobile, Bouy, Gabriel, Kondogbia (soon :p), Marrone, Gouano, Branescu etc

If there is one thing that you can say as a positive for Marotta and Paratici, it's that they weren't kidding when they said that they were going to rebuild the youth system.

All done for Verratti? Not for journalist Raffaele Auriemma. He revealed to Radio Crc that Napoli have inserted themselves in the tracking of the midfielder.
"Juventus have not signed Verratti. It seemed as though Pescara were going to give in to the player's wishes of putting on the bianconero jersey, but Napoli have come forward with a better offer. It seemed all complete with Juve, but the player's legal representative Di Campli, has spoken to Napoli director Riccardo Bigon. De Laurentis has not given up and will make one final attempt to bring Verratti to Napoli."
