boakye is banging em in for Ghana recently, can't wait to see him in the afcon now
he isn't exactly banging em in...played two, scored two for ghana. One late on on his debit v China, then in a as expected easy victory of Egypt in a pre tournament friendly last week. Egypt should be expected to be a poor imitation of their former selves, given the fucked up state of their country. And China...well, they are China. He has made a promising start to his international career, at a very young age. And also been playing very wlel in Serie B, for the league leaders Sassuolo. Immobile did as well in Serie B as Boakye has done before and is doing again. There is clearly a large difference between playing for a solid Serie B team, where you have played before, and playing for two of the least effective at creating chances Serie A teams. Its tricky to say who has done better so far this term, Immobile or Gabbiadini, but if goals are what we seek, then Ciro wins out for me every time. As he does over Boakye also...He has proven, at least in Serie B, that he can put away a very high % of chances given to him, not just tap-ins, but in many ways. Boakye is more explosive, Immobile smarter and more developed, and I would suggest a better finisher...

As people seem to be forgetting, or just not knowing, Gabbiadini has yet to show any potential for the kind of goalscoring forward we desperately crave, other than for the Italy U21s. Ciro and Richmond now, have both shown a far more clinical eye for goal.
