Just thought id mention Beckham wasnt a west ham youth productt but rather a man u product. But overall agree, they seem to be doing well with their youth academy.

I stand corrected as David Beckham is definately a product of the Man United youth academy. But he started playing his youth team football at West Ham before the Mancs took him away and that's why I chose to list him. But nevermind. It's quite a coup West-Ham has managed to pull off. Our board should've been on the alert but weren't

They don't have Moggi but they must have a very good board of directors. Just over a year ago they were facing the likes of Crewe Alexandria, Brighton and Plymouth in the Coca Cola Championship and now they're getting players like Mascherano and Tevez. People at West-Ham obviously know what they're doing and I feel happy for them. They're a fine club. Their youth academy has produced talents such as Lampard, Beckham, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick and it's pleasing to see them reap some rewards now for their great efforts. Of all the London clubs I fancy West-Ham the most, and I hope Tevez and Mascherano shine there.

You may know something I dont, but this suggests he was a man utd product. If anything he mascotted against west ham.

i saw him on david beckhams hotshots and he said that as a chid he was scouted by this man U guy playing for his local small team and from there he moved to manchester.

I hear its an loan deal with option to buy. Obviously, West Ham is pinning their hope for qualifying into Europe to generate enough cash to buy both Mascherano and Tevez outright next year. I think they do have distant chance of finishing 4th, only because Arsenal is a pile of crap that was having a hot streak end of last year, but I am betting on that whatever the case Tevez and Mascherano will move to different team next season after show casing their talent. They are just too big a name, and too good for a team like West Ham.

If we do get promoted next year, I wouldnt be surprised if we find a way to scoup these players up. We will have money, space, and need for both players more than any other big teams. I have a hunch, assuming that Secco does his job properly, at least one of them will end up being Juventino.
