The Swedish league looks like this currently:
Games - Points
1 Kalmar FF 25 45
2 IFK Göteborg 24 43
3 Djurgårdens IF 24 43
4 AIK 24 38

The teams play 26 matches.

Currently, Göteborg are up against AIK with 1-0 (AIK have the home advantage), while Djurgården are leading 2-1 in their game (away). AIK fans demand that AIK lose, so that fierce rivals Djurgården don't win the league.

I have been watching the AIK game and while they're certainly the better team, their finishing is ridiculously shit and it's quite obvious that they don't take the game seriously. This could mean that they'll lose their UEFA cup spot but it seems they haven't thought that far.

Do you think the AIK players are doing the right thing? Or do you agree with me that it is dirty and incredibly stupid, as playing in a European cup benefits both the players and the club?

Not playing to your maximum in a game when you have nothing to gain is acceptable in Italy, & happens regularly. But doing it when you'll lose a european football spot is just plain dumb.

I thought that too until Lazio won against Inter 4-2 in the last day of the championship and juve won the scudetto :weee:

AIK dominating and playing the ball around nicely, but they never shoot or get into the area. Seems they're afraid of their home crowd.

Djurgården win and AIK seem to be losing. Had they only scored one goal, we'd probably win the title. Now Göteborg have to lose or draw the next game against Trelleborg, who are second to last. The alternative is that Djurgården win with four more goals than Göteborg. :frown:

Too bad you don't have a case, because, as UEFA say, Scandinavians are famous for their sportsmanship.

Well, there's still some hope. Djurgården are playing BP who have no chance of avoiding relegation. Let's thrash them.
