Italy got an easy group, along with England, but both will struggle against their 1st tough opponent. Italy will be too complacent if they manage to make the QF.
At first glance, the Italians should have a much easier way to the quarters than the rest of the teams.
As weakened as they seem, the Italians are still big favorites to win the group.
If they do that, in the 1/8 finals they'll get the 2nd placed team from group E and it's gonna be one of Holland, Denmark, Japan and Cameroon. If the Dutch win that group then DEN, JPN or CAM will stand in Italy's way to the quarters. None of them easy, but none of them world beaters either.

The pairs that will be given from Groups G and H are mouthwatering. If Spain win their group then they'll play against the second placed team from group G where Brazil, Ivory Coast and Portugal are. The Spaniards will again, just like in 2006, get a very tough opponent in the first knock out round.
It might even be Brazil-Spain in the 1st knock-out round.

Andy, ANdy, Andy.

I love you to death. You know that, right?

But do you have any idea how redundant you are starting to sound?

And that's probably why you make me so angry sometimes

Italy got easy groups in 1998 and 2002 as well. Croatia was on decline after their 1998 tournament and lost some of their glory players, Ecuador was poor back then as well while Mexico was the only real threat. In 1998 they drew Cameroon, Austria and Chile, ridiculously easy.

So either way, I was right about the draw.
Let's be honest, every group is hard for the USA, because they are crap.

Italy will meet in Qfs who wins between 1G and 2H right? Thats very likely to be winner between Spain-Portugal/Ivory coast (assuming Brasil wins the group).

This same discussion has to be the silliest ever....

Whoever wants to support Italy let it be, be it anyone. What's the big deal?
Whoever wants to tease the USA NT (though I haven't seen one post yet), what's the point?

Drop it before I seriously close this thread.
