Vincent Kompany has given Chelsea a boost in their hopes of signing him by revealing he is a fan of Jose Mourinho.
Anderlecht central defender Kompany, 19, is being chased by some of Europe's top clubs and has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United.
"There was one sentence of Mourinho that I liked," Kompany told BBC Sport.
"It was when he said that real pressure is not in football, it is for the parents who have to feed their children every day."
He added: "I have this kind of thought also when I have a problem. I think there are people in much more difficult situations than mine and that takes a lot of pressure away."
Kompany has had his own testing time recently in his battle to overcome a back injury, which has kept him out for two months, and only returned in Anderlecht's defeat against Westerlo last Sunday.
He played the full 90 minutes and is set to start against Chelsea on Wednesday as Anderlecht aim to end a run of losing 10 Champions League games on the trot.
The centre-back insists he will not feel under pressure in playing against a potential suitor for his signature as he also stated his future destination is set to be in England or Spain.
"After all the links I have had in the past year I cannot be nervous anymore," said Kompany, whose contract with the Belgian side runs until summer 2010.
"Every time a big club comes here to play against Anderlecht they say that is where I will be moving.
"I just try to put it out of my mind. It has been this way from the first match I played in the Champions League and it is no pressure at all."
Asked about a move to the Premiership, he added: "It is a possibility for sure but I haven't made the choice right now.
"I was more busy coming back from injury than planning a transfer this last month.
"But if I have to think about it now the Premiership or maybe Spanish league would be something that might suit me.
"But as I say first I am thinking of what I am doing now at my club and I have at least one or two months to think about those things and it is yet not the moment."
Anderlecht coach Frank Vercauteren says Kompany could leave as early as January but only at the right price.
"I think with him we start from the idea that we will probably only keep him until June but it could be January.
"Nothing has changed in his situation but there could be a solution very quickly because a lot of teams are following him. It could be January but it will surely be June.
"But it will depend on the offers we get and Vincent because his ambitions are high. I don't think he will take a club that is not within his ambition."

Wouldn't he be a good choice for Juve?
