I’m so curious with this cash splashing we’re doing what kind of punishment we get from UEFA next season when we inevitably violate the voluntary agreement.

i wouldn't be surprised if it turned that our return to eca was already part of that package

Hmmm if returning to ECA just erases all that then it’s a very sound move. But I honestly doubt we’ll go unpunished since there are other clubs who signed such agreements. We might get a lighter punishment though.

Soule scored 11 goals last season. Adeyemi scored 3.
Soule scored 6 non-penalty goals in 3000+ minutes, while Adeyami scored 5 (including 2 in the CL) in 1620 minutes.
I’ve never watched this guy but stats can be presented in many ways.

Goalscoring for a winger won't be Adeyemis issue, he was a CF in Salzburg and is used to shooting on sight and decent finisher.

It's the rest of his game besides extreme speed that needs polishing and is less convincing.

One of them was in the champions league final, one of them got relegated from Serie A.
adeyemi was a fringe player for dortmund, both regarding playtime and actual output. soulé was the frosinone player who very clearly outshone the rest of his team. it's not the best argument. it would mean you'd take joselu over vlahovic or ryerson over dani olmo

Neither Dani Olmo nor Vlahovic played in relegated teams though. That comparison is weird.

Adeyemi started in all of Dortmund’s decisive games in UCL from the quarters to the final itself, also played a big role in a good chunk of those matches and not only, so surely wouldn’t necessarily call him a passenger neither in terms of playtime or output, although that still doesn’t mean we should be splashing on him anything close to what is being rumored now.

you also can argue about semantics but that doesn't change the fact that he played less than 1000 minutes in the league. he's got one single full 90 league game in 2024
