Huddlestone still needs time to develop, and as was witnessed last season, Jenas, Zokora and Tainio don't cut it in midfield defending-wise.. they're more CMs than anything..

defenitly agree with that..but i thought Zokora showed signs of improvement towards the end of the season...and surely the defence needs King as Kaboul cant be relied on just yet...and Dawson isnt really a leader in defence...

BTW..do you think Bale would be first choice next season??because from what i saw neither Lee Young Pyo nor Ekoto are good enough to be first choice

Zokora yeah, did show a lot of improvement, fights hard and all, but is a liability if he is the only DM as he enjoys good forward runs as well..
Well, of course there's gonna be some rotation in defense, but there are some leadership qualities in Dawson, he'll get there in time.

BTW..do you think Bale would be first choice next season??because from what i saw neither Lee Young Pyo nor Ekoto are good enough to be first choice

It's quite plausible that we were in fact linked with him. Coming up from Serie B, with Boumsong and Leggrottaglie as the only CBs we had, we were obviously looking for Central Defenders, Kaboul included.
