New Tottenham signing Younes Kaboul has revealed that he turned down a move to Juventus in favour of White Hart Lane.
The Frenchman recently joined the Premiership side for £7m from Auxerre, but only after he snubbed some high profile interest.
“I chose Tottenham so that I could play in the Premier League,” the Under-21 international defender told France Football.
“Considering that clubs like Chelsea and Juventus wanted me, some people are surprised by my choice – they tell me I joined a smaller club. But I believe it was a good decision.
“It is also true that there was contact with Lyon, but Spurs showed more of a desire to sign me.”1
