Much better performance, we look much more organised. The midfield duo of Rabiot and Bentancur is much improved and offered more protection. Bentancur has been excellent, as has Cuadrado going forward (defensively he has been a bit rash).

Kulu has been very good from a tactical point of view, he is picking up the spare Lazio mid a lot and looks dangerous when coming forward. He just needs to get on the ball more as he has not been involved enough.

Still think we will need at least 1 more goal with this defence.

That’s the best I’ve seen us look for a while. Defence looked a bit more disciplined and protected. Kulu looks a threat in the hole. We have decent width with the full/wing backs.

we risked a few chances to Lazio but they’re a good team and that’s expected. We looked more dangerous than dangered. Hopefully we can get out with a clean sheet and nick one or two more

This match? I saw barely anything bar some runs towards the mid. In the attack I didn't see him offer anything.

Majority of our attacks were counter attacks, and everyone is looking for tje goat. Morata makes great runs and the few times he received the ball in midfield he turned around and started dangerous attacks.

It doesn't help that Lazio has flooded the midfield but we can't seem to control the game a bit. But yeah its not all bad from Rabiot and Bentancur

They did to start with a press and then Inzaghi quickly realised that they would be picked off, so they've largely stopped that press and gone deep, so no pressure on us. I think this hurts us sometimes when teams do this, as we become slower with the ball and it looks too easy. But when Lazio have attacked you can see that we are still turning them and getting into dangerous positions on the counter. Their midfield looks as weak as ours dealing with transition.

We’ve had 3-4 really promising counters, because we’ve caught them out after they were pressing high in our area. They’ve pressed us but not as well as they would have liked.

I saw quite a lot of them, at least 3 or 4 times. I’m taking about situations near our box. He did great when we scored indeed!

The problem with the mids not protecting the defence is that the mids push up so much to put pressure on the man with the ball and the defence sits deep that it just leaves a huge gap between the 2

First 30 mins his passing was very shabby. He played one random Hollywood ball that got easily intercepted with about 5 other options, and a couple where he played it behind the man or loose in midfield with not a lot of pressure. He reminds me of Bonucci or Cuadrado at times where if they get comfortable the mind starts to wander and they make weird choices. Definitely stepped up toward the end of the half.

Had a great action right at the death. Too bad we don't have a dead ball specialist anymore.

We are being cautious, and it's fine at this point in the season after the shaky start. When we have possession, we do not take needless risks and we prefer to pass back instead of needlessly losing the ball with a forward pass. It's boring, but a necessity right now.
So we concentrate on counters and we did decent there. We had 5-6 situations to counter and on three occasions we were successful - the goal, Kulu's pass to Ronaldo for the post, and Kulu's attack for the free-kick. Morata did not indeed take an important part in any of the 3 situations, but he's playing his part in taking men on him.
Individually nobody shone, but the team did well.
