Lemina is playing well. Maybe trying a bit too hard to be Pogba. but playing well nonetheless..

However, he should have passed the ball when 3 players where waiting in the centre. And certainly not shout to them after they asked him to pass the ball. That's so not juventus like.

We don't expect him to be creative, at least I'm not. But he got to pass better and play it forward more often. Sideways passing is ok if there's space or back pass if there's no option, but he got to be more incisive in general
:agree:

I don't disagree with you. It's the nonsense about him being terrible or brainless that is annoying. Or people expecting him to be spraying long balls from the CDM position. That's not ever how he is going to play there. I'd like to see him be more incisive too though, and that should develop with time in the role.

Palermo is playing really well. It has to be said.

We are better than last year but there's a clear hole in the middle of the field. Marchisio's loss is so noticeable, almost staggering. We can't do anything with the ball in the centre of the field.

Criticism for Lemina is a little unfair for me. He's obviously a good player but just not suited to play CDM. Pjanic is dropping too far, almost beside him at times in order to get the ball. It's almost insulting, as if he were Chiellini.

Anyways, this is a typical Serie A away match. When a team can defend with 11 and then play the ball out when they win it back, it will always be a struggle. Really did not anticipate this effort from Palermo.

I'd drop Mandzukic for Pjaca and go 4-3-3 tbh, or drop Mandzukic for Dybala.

But Mandzu-Higuain isn't working, and the Croatian is playing bad individually as well.

this is really key here. it seems he is too afraid to play between the lines and always positions himself in a position to receive the ball where he has palermos midfielders and defenders in front of him instead of slipping in between and receiving the ball there. we need somebody to get into that gap and receive the ball there, because we will not get into the space by dribbling into it from midfield.

i would not advise to switch pjanics and leminas positions but i am damn sure that lemina would run into the space between their midfield and defense more often
