People seem clueless that he's playing as a CDM, not as a creative playmaking regista. So we get nonsensical comments about the 2 poor long passes he tried in that half, ignoring his amazing defensive contributions breaking up play, winning the ball back, etc. He's been our best player on the pitch this half, imo.

Another Allegri disaster. 352 agaisnt Palermo and we are progressively getting more offensive. Now the formation is 442 with Pjanic/CM as a LM or 433 with Higuain as a LW. This is embarassing!

We joke about conserving energy, but honestly we see this too often, where the tempo is slowed down for bunches of 15-20 mins at a time, you can't play games like that at 0-0 when you are barely hurting the opposition. We do it again and again since Conte, and then for the last 15-20 mins you'll see us panic. It puts the result and points into risk. Why not get the tempo up early on, grab a goal or two and then fuck about?

Aslong as Mandzukic is on the pitch we can't play 4-3-3 (and 4-3-1-2 is out of the question with Cuadrado), it's dumb as fuck to play it with current personnel.

Apart from the dying minutes in the 2nd half the entirety of Cuadrados time on the pitch has been spent with him at RWB and Alves further behind him in a back 3. Our shape didn't change until the end. Hopefully we carry on like we ended, with Cuadrado pushed up.

I don't deny that, we can't play 4-3-3 with Zuk and Higuain but with the XI on the pitch right now we should be playing 4-4-2. Which we sort of looked like we were switching to at the end of the half.
