in recent 10 years, do you realize that we seldom beat an English team??

Season 97/98( Group stage )
Man. United 3 - 2 Juventus
Juventus 1 - 0 Man. United

Season 98/99( semi final )
Juventus 1-1 Man. United
Man. United 3-2 Juventus

Season 02/03( Group stage )
Juventus 2 - 0 Newcastle
Newcastle 1 - 0 Juventus

Season 04/05( Quarter-finals )
Juventus 0-0 Liverpool
Liverpool 2-1 Juventus

Season 05/06( Quarter-finals )
Juventus 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-0 Juventus
------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus win -- 2 times draw-- 3 times lose-- 5 times

it seems that we don't have much advantages over English teams
even when we were very strong, we still couldn't win them easily
what are the underlying reasons for such results?

Don't count Capello's absent minded tactics in CL against Liver and Arsenal ..

and please make a correction, ManUtd beat us in the semis in 1999, and they went to win the CL eventually :) ..

Lack of pace and imagination, lame tactics/team setup......

Some of the reasons for our struggling against the English. By the way, it is not only us who have problems with English teams. Other Serie A teams also have heavy problems with Englishmen. Only AC Milan has done the impossible in CL 2006/07.

Dont do this to me.Please.Its hard enough living in a world with those Manchester fucks as champions..its even harder being reminded of our awful record against EPL teams.

But whatever.

Fuck the EPL.

PS.I think you missed another clash.Us against Arsenal, before our last meeting.I dont remember the season, but we didnt do well in it either.

Talking of english opponents, Ferguson recently praised our end-of-the-nineties- team as the best he has ever faced.

Yes, season 2001/02, 2nd group stage:

Highbury: Arsenal vs Juve 3 - 1 Ljungberg x2, Henry / own goal
Delle Alpi: Juve vs Arsenal 1 - 0 Zalayeta

Talking of english opponents, Ferguson recently praised our end-of-the-nineties team as the best he has ever faced.
Indeed, we were the best team. But it's a big shame we lost so many finals. In reality we deserved to be crowned as European champions at least 3 times instead of 2.

Did you realize that in just the past season, all Serie A teams were eliminated by English teams in the Champions League and none of them scored a single goal against them in their combined two legs each? That was pathetic and inexcusable.

That's more relevant to me than something that happened 10 years ago, IMO.
