Juventus breathed new life into their title aspirations with a yesterday’s convincing 3-0 victory over Siena at Juventus Stadium.
The statistics prove Antonio Conte’s men were good value for their success after commanding 58% possession, completing 74.6% of their attempted passes and going for goal on 17 separate occasions.
And while only six of these attempts reached the target, Conte will have every reason to be happy with the clinical nature of his side’s finishing.
Stephan Lichtsteiner capitalised on one-way first half traffic to give the Bianconeri a deserved lead, while Sebastian Giovinco and Paul Pogba put the gloss on the afternoon with classy strikes in the closing stages.
Siena, meanwhile, found the target with 75% of their four attempts on goal, but came up against an inspired Gigi Buffon between the posts.
Individually speaking, Pogba led the way with five separate efforts, followed by Giovinco on four and Lichtsteiner with two.
Peluso again impressed on the left-hand side of the back three, topping the completed passes index with a figure of 71. Trailing the defender were Barzagli (70), Pirlo (66), Bonucci (51) and Pogba (46).
