I was lying in bed, about to take a nap when I look over at the clock and remember Juve is about to play. So I think to myself the odds of them actually being on TV is slim, but I tried anyway and guess what...JUVE IS ON!! Yippie!!

5' Chong-Gug Song wrongfoots Pavel Nedved but his clearance down the line finds touch to gift Juventus possession.
4' Marco Di Vaio gets Juventus off to the perfect start. Mauro Camoranesi beats the Feyenoord offside trap on the right flank and chips in a delightful cross, which Di Vaio rises to head downwards past Edwin Zoetebier in the Feyenoord goal.
4' Di Vaio(Juventus)
3' Del Piero, who scored two penalties here to help Juventus beat Feyenoord 5-1 in 1997, sends the free-kick two metres wide of the Feyenoord goal.
2' Paauwe, making his 40th appearance on the European stage this evening, fells Del Piero just outside the area to give Juventus a dangerous free-kick.
1' Alessandro Del Piero, who scored six goals in the first four Champions League games this season, chips the ball over Patrick Paauwe's head, but the ball goes out for a goal kick.
1' Juventus, wearing black-and-white striped shirts and black shorts, get the game under way attacking the goal to the right.

11' A wicked ball is threaded through for Lurling to chase, but Buffon races off his line to get to the ball first.
9' Lilian Thuram, the French international defender, bursts down the left just as Camoranesi did five minutes earlier and flicks in an identical cross which Del Piero controls on his chest, but fires over the crossbar with an audacious overhead effort.

14' The ball breaks to Nedved, the Czech Republic midfield player, but his shot is comfortable for Zoetebier.
13' Paauwe clips the heels of Di Vaio and Juventus win a free-kick wide on the right.

1 Buffon
2 Ferrara
3 Tacchinardi
5 Tudor
10 Del Piero
11 Nedved
15 Birindelli
16 Camoranesi
18 Di Vaio
21 Thuram

Ok, but how do they play? 4-3-1-2? Buffon; Thuram, Ferrara, Tudor, Birindelli; Camoranesi, Tacchinardi, Davids; Nedved; Di Vaio, Del Piero?

29' Lurling beats the Juventus offside trap and squares the ball for Bombarda, unmarked eight metres out. But the South American somehow misses the ball completely with the goal at his mercy.
28' Del Piero is robbed at the back and Australian international Brett Emerton has a chance to race forward for Feyenoord.
27' Nedved has room to carry the ball forward through midfield but his pass intended for Di Vaio is disappointing for the vocal home fans.
26' Tacchinardi will miss the next game after being shown a yellow card for a late sliding tackle on Rzasa.
26' Tacchinardi(Juventus)
25' The ensuing free-kick is delivered from the right and Nedved rises highest in the area, but his header flies over the Feyenoord crossbar.
24' Tomasz Rzasa, Feyenoord's Polish international defender, sends Camoranesi spinning to the turf and gets a yellow card for his troubles.
24' Rzasa(Feyenoord)
23' Davids is felled by Bombarda as Feyenoord persist with their physical approach.
22' Edgar Davids, the 29-year-old midfield player, forces a fine low save from Zoetebier with a rasping 23-metre drive.
21' Tacchinardi, making his 50th appearance in Champions League football tonight, is felled by Ono, who is duly booked and will miss the next game.
21' Ono(Feyenoord)
20' Del Piero flashes a hopeful shot well wide.
19' Ono's foul on Alessio Tacchinardi earns him a strong talking to from the referee, but no card.

33' Paauwe(Feyenoord) Yellow Card
31' Lurling takes matters into his own hands, turning Tudor twice before curling an effort towards the far corner, only for Buffon to make a flamboyant diving stop.
