that totally blew my mind....Moggi is a genius...thanks Isha for the great insight:agree:

btw how do u expain Olivera & Zala (Panther):p
Moggi rarely spares the other teams senteces like "I don't know what Inter's gonna do with Martins playing for Nigeria, I for one try to buy European players." "Inter and Milan players have arrived only on Saturday from their NT? I don't know, almost all of my players have played in Europe and were in Torino a couple of hours after the matches."

As for Zala and Olivera they aren't key players, so even if they are tired it doesn't really matter. :D

I think Argentinian or Brazilian player quotas are completely the wrong metric. When I saw the subject line to this thread, the first reaction I thought of was, "Good!" Too many teams make the brain dead decision that injecting a little South American football in their squads is somehow a recipe for success. That's crap.

Get the best players available for the positions we need. I don't care if they come from Brazil or Iceland or Jupiter's moon Ganymede for that matter.

THats so true...Players really do suffer from those NT games especially the south americans when they play at home. And u can really see its effect especially on Both milan teams since they have quite a few south americans on their squad

thanks isha for the insight...

I do't think its because South Americans are too individual and italians are not.
Juve does play a team game, but the regime is that they want their players to be strong defesively.

Emerson is amazing, he is amazing defensively and can open the game well.
If i was moggi, i would only want one of these two players: Totti or Messi

Totti would be even better than zidane, and Messi is just fantastic. They are both smart, technical and strong. That is something that Juve would go for, but then again i don't think they could ever get them.

First time I read the thread I thought why lack? like we need to have more? Why would a players origin matter anyhow.
Most brazilian and Argentinian have great individual skills but we all know thats not enough to win so we are fine the way we are as you see Chelsea are the way they are.

????
So Brazil is not winning any WC-titles?
They have 5!!!! Italy have 3 and the status of the once Italy have won before 1940 is not in the same league as titles in modern time.

its not a problem, its the exact opposite, look at inter milan, they have more south americans on the team than europeans.

Welcome to the forums Robi :)

I don't think that Totti will join Juventus, to make the understatement of the century
