if we took last season as an example , we know that Atalanta got promoted after waisting 45 points while the second team was 2 points behind , lets forget about the playff spot now and focus on the first 2 spots.

if juve want to be in the first 2 spots we need to waste not more than 45 points and we are already -17 (after the first week -16) we have already wasted 2 points now in the first week , so we need not to loose more than 30 points in the coming 40 matches since -16 - 30 = -46 which is the total number of points allowed to be lost if we want to be in the first 2 spots.

the question now is can we do it???

Looking at the Napoli squad, I think they are better than Atalanta, who lets remember had to sell on their young phenom in Montolivo, and yet managed to top the group. Hence, I predict Napoli to gain somewhere around 88 - 92 points. That means in order to top the group we have to loose only 21 points throughout the whole season. That equals to around 5 losses and 3 draws. Games against Bologna, Napoli, Genoa, Bari, Verona, Lecce, Brescia, Modena, Vicenza IMO are all equivalent to playing low table Serie A teams, and they are all droppable games. I say winning the league is reaslitically impossible feat with the current penalty reduction, but second place finish is not out of realm of possibility if indeed Napoli runs away with league leaving huge gaps between them and the rest.

whats wrong with a playoff finish, we would masacre any other team on head-to-head or a 2 game playoff, i say we aim for top 6

without the penalty points we would still have a tough task to top the group.

We have to be at least 5th to get into the playoff games. There are 41 games left. if we get used to serie B football in the next weeks that should deffinately be possible with our players.

I'd say it should be a easy task for our club... a non-promotion would just be redicilous...

coming from a higher division doesn't mean at all that is superior ! So hard work please guys to get juventus to the place they're belonging

we should only aim on #1 spot and that should be the coach and players target

wether they achieve it or not we will see at the end of the season

calculating the minimum will set the target on the edge and thus risking it all.

our current target IMO is being on top 5 by the end of the first leg then the trophy at the end of the season
