Just a small suggestion. [or: there's more to this site than just the forums -- mods] (1 Viewer)

Dear moderators,

As you know that this forum is one of the most important forum for Juventus worldwide, as lots of guests visit it daily and of course it should be in the best shape. The first to be checked is the opening post of any thread, I mean it usually reflects the entire thread.

I have a suggestion regarding the previous point, would you please edit the opening post of "The Official Pavel Nedved Thread". I can send you a preview of the post that I imagine, it will include a picture to him, his biography, his profile and some important events in his life. That's would make the thread far better and acceptable. Also, we can repeat this idea in the important sticky threads.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers. :cool2:

Pardon me, what attitude are you talking about? I never had a discussion with you before, just two or three comments.

And, if you don't know me, again how can you put me in the same list of The People like you. You are contradicting yourself for sure.

What are you talking about? Firstly, you are completely talking off topic. Secondly, you judge people's attitude and ironically you don't know them or intend to know them. Thirdly, you are still contradicting yourself for no reason.

More to the point, what one's person's view of how all the forums should be may differ from everyone else's. It's neither right or wrong -- it just is.

This wouldn't be the first case where someone wanted the forums to be the end-all data store of all information related to Juventus, completely ignoring for the moment that there are other sections of the site more deserving of that kind of role than a free-form, open forums section... e.g.:

    For players:
    http://www.juventuz.com/club/squad/
    for example, Gigi Buffon:
    http://www.juventuz.com/club/player/buffon/

    past players:
    http://www.juventuz.com/club/pastplayers/

    player stats:
    http://www.juventuz.com/playerstats/

    team stats:
    http://www.juventuz.com/clubstats/

Note that a number of these haven't been updated since last season. But the point is this: if you want something to be a source of more "objective" info that isn't the Wikipedia, or if you just want to build a "shrine" for worshipping a player for that matter, shoehorning everything into these forums so that they are the end-all, be-all information source ... the source for all information about a topic ... is generally going to be a wasted effort. Forum software isn't set up for that -- it's like trying to use an airplane on the freeway as a poor substitute for a car.

However, if you or anybody else want to contribute to updates to those sections of the site that might be more appropriate for photos, biographies, personal stats, etc. ... by all means, volunteer your time and I am sure there's a way to help get it up through the site owner.

bes, bes, bes, what would this place be without you?
ahmedios the whole point of the player threads is for discussion and chat, you can analyse players performances and discuss their merits, as well as their flaws. well except in the del piero thread, rab is like a rabid pitbull ready for the kill if anyone criticises alex.

anyway there are, as swag pointed out, areas where you can view players stats. the forums are more about discussion. hope this helps, besides no-one ever really looks at the first page in a thread unless they are hitting the "go to fist unread post" button
