Makes me wonder how long ago we decided to sell Vidal. We've been looking for an AM for weeks/months, so either we had 25M+ to spare, or it was always the plan to sell Vidal.
i think Allegri simply decided Juventus didnt depended on Vidal anymore. Pogba is irreplaceable and unsellable...and Cheesio was even better than Pirlo. He thinks that maybe it will be a worhty sacrifice to sell one defensive dude and buy an offensive one. he is putting his bets on sturaro and khedira.

Don't know if true, but posters on vecchisignora.com listening to Sky calciomercato whow with GDM saying that Draxler salaries are thought to be already high at Schalke, around 3/3.5M net, and that his agents demanded something really high like 5M net.

Does look like bullshit

If you think about it. Our midfield 3 of marchisio, pogba & pirlo took us farther with Vidal as an AM and serious recovery issues than with Vidal back to his normal position.

Hard to admit it, but we probably don't need Vidal as much as we need a deadly AM.

We should have quite a bit to spend on this offensive player, shouldn't we? The money we were chasing the Oscar/Cuadrado/etc/ with + the Vidal money.

Yes. I actually think we aren't willing to take an economic risk, which perhaps won't come by for another couple of years. If there was one season that allowed that key stinging, this would be it. And if before selling a Vidal, your answer to me is, that guy is Dybala, I'd accept. But after selling him, if your answer to me is Draxler, I'd say I'd be pretty underwhelmed. If Vidal had a bad season, what would you make of Draxler? And I assume, a large chunk of the Vidal money would go towards that purchase. Sorry, I disagree with the move and I feel disappointed that we aren't exploiting the situstion between Bayern and Guardiola more than we are projecting, especially seeing that we had some leverage with Vidal.
idk i feel like some of the people here are making too much of this and we will be just fine

If you don't have hype and power after the season just had, then the club's outlook is part of the problem. I am not saying sign CR7 because we rule the world, but if you can reject 80m for Pogba, then you surely can crack a deal better than Draxler on the market.
Thats what annoys me a little.
Anyways, as long as draxler has a noticeable offensive input, better than Vidal and pereyra as an AMs, then we can say we made the right choice.

He played in 38 and 39 matches the two years prior, and 46 before that. How exactly is he made of glass?
I know, i just want to annoy alex. Also because i dont want Draxler and i wanted Gotze.

But well, atke what we can i guess. If Draxler can put a lot of offense in his game for us, then so be it.

No bash but it's too difficult to buy one as things stand.

Draxler asked for €5mill in wages.
Wow. Is he even worth it?

Thats what im saying. I think Allegri already convinced himself he doesnt need another DM and Vidal was the only sellable one with a decent price on his head...so he gave the go to MArotta most likely. Allegri most likely planned this before the khedira arrival, so he send marotta and paraticci to prepare for the vidal sale in signing the german.

thats sounds like a multitude. Pirlo and tevez were goners and we knew it. Vidal is the true problem here because of the way he went out and the fact that we are now desperate to get someone.

Now, if we sell Pogba, then you can start to worry.
We knew it and we didn't replace them and spent 18M on Zaza. 18M that could have made the difference between Draxler and Götze, between future established club and feeder club. Between "oh this club has so many worldclass players, I'll join them" and "no thx I prefer bench at Real/Utd/Bayern/Barca"

If you think about it. Our midfield 3 of marchisio, pogba & pirlo took us farther with Vidal as an AM and serious recovery issues than with Vidal back to his normal position.

cpt obvious there
OFC swapping Vidal with an AM is a good idea. 9 out of 10 users would have signed up for this.

This move however was pulled off in the most incompetent way imaginable.
