I really haven't attempted anything other than being as polite as I can (I know I'm in enemy territory after all :wink.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, and I know they're the eternal chokers, but this match exemplifies why I see Roma as favorites for the championship- I know they're facing the current 19'th placed team, but when they're on point, there's no one to match them. They've gotten' on to a shaky start, as have many of the other Champions League-spot contenders, but I haven't seen a team with a potentially higher ceiling than Roma thus far.

You were very unwelcoming dude in first post because he doesnt support Juve lol. I know rival fan, but but we have tons of non Juve supports here, no reason to grill/treat him coldly when he's just being regular footie poster. Its good to know he is acquainted with the sheriff and know shit wont be accepted, but do it with a cordial passive aggressive smile atleast

Carpi along with Frosinone (lol still can't believe we didn't beat those amateurs) are the worst two teams in the league, by far, and both will certainly play in Serie B next season. FIGC needs to make battle for survival more interesting in the following years, as teams like these add very little/none to overall quality/entertainment of Serie A. They are just here to fill the quota, but even that team exposed Roma's defense badly tonight, which I believe will be their main weakness throughout the season. It was amusing to witness how dreadfully their CBs position themselves, how easy they seem to get beaten at skill and pace, the space they leave. Dreadfull. Obviously quality in the middle and upfront made all the difference, but so far I really didn't see any team that seemed convincing enough (gathering impressive wins in a row like Juve used to in the few previous seasons) to label them clear title favorites.

Yeah completely mishandled the "phasing out" of players process. Last season we did not depend much on Pirlo and Marchisio stepped in when Pirlo was out or fatigued. He let Pirlo go and didnt replace him. All we needed to do was to push marchisio permanently in Pirlo's position and buy a player to do what Marchisio did last term which is stepping in when the main distributor is out/fatigued without decreasing the quality of the team and when the main regista is playing he either waits on the bench or plays next to him as box to box. This didn't happen ofcourse we replaced Pirlo by marchisio and didnt get anyone to play marchisio's previous role. The distributor role is the heart beat of the entire midfield/team. We screwed up there and unsurprisingly the whole team lacks cohesion. If marotta didnt find any good distributors on the market then he should have told Pirlo that he would stay at his same role from last season which is in the first 11.

We also were not very dependent on Vidal last season. We replaced him with Khedira and maybe Lemina and staruro which is okay. Its downgrade but any player would be a downgrade on Vidal and as I said he almost didnt feature last season.

We had a big hole in the AM position, this was not filled.

We were extremely dependent on Tevez's work last season. Spending all the cash on a 20 year old that will need five years to ever come close to Tevez's level is retarded. We should have definitely went for someone who is the finished product. If any player that we could have gotten is less than Tevez, then at least we should balance that loss upfront by adding a great AM. We did neither. We went for a kid that suddenly has insane pressure on him to perform at levels he never came close to before and without a midfield supporting him.


Mandzukic is an improvement on Morata and Llorente but again without a midfield he is useless.



Now its upto Pogba, and Dybala to do all the creative work (kids really), without a midfield that can string three passes together. We need another big buying mercato soon where a WC distributor is the highest priority, followed by a WC AM. This is the least we need to get back to last season's quality. Add a WC SS and you get an improvement on last season
