But to conclude from the stats that Handanovic is any better than Buffon is simply not possible. These stats are much much more dependant on factors lying outside of a GKs influence than anything else. Buffon virtually never makes any critical mistake (something Handanovic (as most GKs) does more or less regularly). The last blunder in fact has been against Lecce or whatever in the 2011/12 season. Other than that he's had 3-4 shaky weeks at somepoint during the autumn of 2013, but other than that, nothing. And on the other hand he's saved our ass a $#@!load of time, last match, or the CL final being just two examples.
You claiming that Handanovic is better than Buffon is I think very similar to Juve fans claiming Buffon to be better than Neuer. It's not even really up for debate.
