I'm not sure if Napoli and Milan have enough for a 2 front battle. Napoli in 2011/12 just couldn't play on two fronts and today they aren't that much better than back in 2012, when they had Inler and the Hamsik-Lavezzi-Cavani trident.
That's in regards to the scudetto battle. But playing in CL and serie A might also endanger their top 3 chances, so one of the other teams might take advantage of that and sneak into the CL places.

Quality wise, though, Napoli should win the 2nd place with ease, while Milan are 3rd best.

I think it would be reckless for them to copy the 2011/12 attitude and put everything into the Champions League again, but a rough calculation suggests they could build a squad good enough to manage both responsibilities. ~€50m left I think, a few Marotta signings in there still.

I think it's a good deal for them, I must be the only one here . They get a fine replacement for Cavani and have 23M left from his sale. His wages are on the same level as Cavani's and more importantly they needed a 'top player' if they want to be CL for next season(s). With Higuaín they have the potential to be a structural top 3 side imo. Gotta spend money to make money.

I don't think Napoli are aiming to be challengers for the scudetto, they aim to be a structural top club in Serie A and I think with a new RB their squad is good enough for that. They were in B with us not too long ago, their management must be fine hence the recent results and CL qualification.

Its because you dont get it, that ur the only one.

Napoli replaced their only player capable of holding the ball, and distributing it, with a player that absolutely doesnt.

This means, they spend ALOT on a player that currently isnt worth that much, but that they'll struggle to make the play against ant team thats good at pressing.

they basically got a good counterattacking team, but not the defence to back it up. Thing is, in the serie a, you need to be able to make the play against the right half column teams who go like "lol, sup mate, lets just park the bus here".

In that regard, milan and fiorentina are significantly better equipped, and roma also has a surprisingly good team for that.


Getting a new forward thats less expensive, but spending the money on other positions that didnt cost THAT much, would have been a better idea

And now you can see paradox. Lazio will get only 6p for match fixing of one of their players but we were relegated inspite the absence of the same. Genoa few years before even worse as their president was involved. Palazzi :facepalm2:

Seems like the Serie A teams are changing their approach in the transfer market. Instead of trading players with each other like one hundred times they now go sign foreign players which seems to be a very good way to excite the fans about the new season. I mean, you can't trade guys like Borriello, Gilardino and the rest of them Serie A journey men around so many times without the fans getting bored.

I think it's because quite a lot of teams are in pretty strong positions to build from, so they are willing to take the risk of signing a youngster or a player new to Serie A, rather than just going for the safe, Serie A proven options.
