Yeah, Inter tried to replicate our players and style of play.

Problem is their inferior in every department.

Pereira was good.

Why would anyone compare him to Asamoah? Asmoah might be playing on the left for us, but they are totally different players ffs. It's like comparing Buffon and Cristiano Ronaldo.
No it isn't. Our CM, who's currently playing at LWB, was brilliant when compared to Pereira who's playing in his natural position. Of course it's comparable.

:shifty:

Pereira - poor man's Caceres.

Guarin - poor man's Vidal

Coutinho - poor boy's Giovinco

Silvestre - poor man's Barzagli

Ranocchia - poor man's Bonucci

I could go on...
Exactly my thoughts !

Pereira and Guarin both looked good IMO, they are interesting players.

Cassano was rubbish, just doesn't have the legs anymore...Palacio should start with Milito.

Some good stuff from Roma, even if they were incredibly wasteful.

They could have scored ten if they'd made better decisions and executed things better, as there were countless occasions Roma had several players bearing down on the Inter defence.

Don't suppose many teams will be stupid enough to continually allow Totti acres of space, though.

Thought Roma's CBs did really well, particularly Burdisso, to hold things together, as they weren't exactly given a huge amount of protection by the rest of the team.

Not having a regista is really going to hurt Inter.

Even Napoli recognised Gargano's passing wasn't good enough, so went and got Inler so that Gargano could be left to do what he's actually good at.

Thought Milan's shape was better last night than it was last season.

Back to playing what I consider to be a proper diamond, with the midfield three mainly staying behind the ball and relying on the fullbacks for width.

Far better to play that way than the horrible stuff Milan did last season with the fullbacks not getting very high and the midfielders all piling forward into the box to force goals.

That said, Milan still weren't any good and were pretty fortunate to win the game.

And teams should really think about man-marking Diamanti this season. Now that Ramirez is gone, it's not like Bologna have any other dangerous players.
