Will be interesting to see how Gasperini's 3-4-3 will work out this Saturday. I have a feeling that tactical setup will be their downfall. Too many good players have to play out of position.

Selling Sneijder and getting Tevez would sure make that formation a lot better. Only they would've need to partner Cambiasso with a better passer.

That formation with Maicon and Marcelo would rape most of the teams in europe. They have good players to use that formation and my only doubt is who will they put in the left flank.

Rumours in Italy ad England have Etoo looking to jump ship too with Maicon and Sneijder seemingly on the way out.
Man City reportedly salivating over the Cameroonian although I wouldn't exclude Chelski and Man Utd having a go at him too, should he become available.

That would be sweet. As long as they don't get Tevez, they'll be a shit team. That's all of their star players right there.

right now, it seems to be Nagatomo, although there was a speculation thrown around that Inter might use Real wanting Maicon and their recent purchase of Coentrao to swap Marcelo with Maicon.

Maicon, Sneijder and Eto'o = out
Tevez and some other quality dude = in

Inter's legacy to end in two seasons at most. I just hope they don't go after Hazard. :xfinger:

I would do that swap in Inter's place.

I guess it would be great for them to have Nagatomo as a backup, but I still have my doubts about him as their starter...

= Inter, from a serious title contender, turning into just a CL-spot hopeful

As good a player as Tevez is, he is not a miracle worker like Etoo, Ibra, Messi, CR. The other 'quality dude' will be a downgrade from Sneijder too as there aren't any better players than him available out there.

I wouldn't like that either but Hazard is, at this point, more a promising talent than a sure thing of a champion. Plus, they already got Alvarez for that role, and getting Hazard would be redundant, I think.

I would too, considering Maicon's age.

No chat about Milan-Inter?

Inter were the better team for the first half hour, even though they didn't create anything. They lacked any real cuting edge through the whole game. Eto'o kept dropping off, so Inter had no-one offering a threat in behind the Milan defence and didn't have a physical presence in the box to take advantage of some good possession in wide areas and crossing opportunities.

Alvarez looks an interesting player, though probably needs to be used more centrally than he was today.

Inter really lacked penetration, which may well have a lot to do with Maicon and Nagatomo missing the game.

Milan were terrible in the early stages of the game, but grew into it. They really should have got at least one of their fullbacks higher up the pitch to stretch things a bit, because it was all very congested in the middle of the park.

Gattuso should have been sent off.

Seedorf is still great. His waking up in the second half turned the game.

I think Milan's performance in the first half - mostly sitting back and containing Inter's attacks - fruitless and energy consuming - may well have been a plan to conserve the players for the 2nd half considering the lack of fitness at this stage of the season. Even then, however, Milan had actually more clear goal chances than Inter, who looked more dangerous in the 2st half only due to their superior ball possession.
Inter attacked a lot in the first 35 min but they also looked gassed for most of the 2nd half when Milan started pushing forward - all in all, a tactical display by Milan influenced by the team's lack of stamina.
