not to mention that if they win it, then we could get your transer tragets.

Milan winning the CL would mean Juve getting Diego and Zapata.

Inter Rocked By Mafia Scandal

On the eve of a decisive Scudetto weekend, Inter Milan have been rocked by a shocking Mafia scandal.

This Sunday is the final round of the Serie A season, with Inter going into their game at Parma just one point clear of second-placed Roma.

The pressure was already on given the fact that the Nerazzurri have twice squandered the chance to seal the Scudetto by first losing to Milan, and then last week drawing at home to Siena.

Now some shocking revelations have been leaked, as the Daily Telegraph has exposed a Mafia scandal involving the club, Coach Roberto Mancini, and his assistant Sinisa Mihaljovic.

It all revolves around Inter’s tailor, Domenico Brescia, who has been revealed to be a convicted murderer, who is closely involved with the Crisafulli Mafia organisation.

The 55-year-old is suspected by the police to be a cocaine supplier, and he has been under scrutiny from investigators.

The transcripts of over 200 of Brescia’s conversations with Mancini, Mihaljovic and a number of Inter players were recorded, and leaked to the press. While many of these phone calls were just ordinary, and regarded clothing matters and tickets to matches, some, and one in particular are far more serious.

In one call Brescia and Mancini are recorded discussing Daniele Bizzozzero, a Mafioso associate of Brescia's who had fled the peninsula to Monte Carlo, before fleeing again to Paris in an attempt to escape the police.

"What happened to him," Mancini asks Brescia.

"How was he arrested? I told him to stay [in Paris] and wait for a pardon."

Brescia then replied to Mancini that Bizzozzero was stupid, to which Mancini responded: "He has always behaved well with me."

The fact that Mancini asked Brescia about the welfare of a mafioso exile, and suggested that he should stay on the run from police, is certain to send some shockwaves throughout the Calcio community.

In other phone calls, Mancini mysteriously demanded that Brescia immediately fetch him "two coathangers", while another Inter employee was recorded speaking about "packs of stuff" in Brescia's car.

“Certainly there will be some fans who ask for the moon and the stars.”
Ranieri dismisses Juve’s rumoured interplanetary transfer strategy

“We have already chosen a Coach and there is a Plan B in place.”
Livorno President Aldo Spinelli named it after the Division they’ll be in next season

“What happened with the transvestites was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I’d had an argument with my girlfriend and I was sad, so I was thinking lots. A girl came up to my car and I accepted her services.”
Ronnie was so close to getting into a scandal with a window washer

:lol2: Gotta love Football Italia's quotes.

Simoni: Inter Are Boring

Ex-Inter boss Gigi Simoni says that the current Nerazzurri side are boring, and cannot match the attractiveness of Scudetto rivals Roma.

The final weekend of the Serie A season is set to be an exciting one as Inter and Roma, separated by one point, fight it out for the Scudetto against Parma and Catania respectively.

Simoni was coach of Inter when they ran Juventus close in the 1997/98 Scudetto race, and he has been damning of Roberto Mancini's style of play ahead of this decisive round of matches.

“This Inter side has never played well,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“My team played the counter-attack back in 1998 and I was criticised, whereas now they call it intelligent tactics.

“I envy Luciano Spalletti, who has the perfect players for the kind of football he favours and the style I too would have wanted. I like Roma a great deal and you can see they have less pressure, take things less seriously and don’t make such a drama out of events. The credit goes to Spalletti and the club.

“I would stay up in the evenings watching the football talk shows on television and at times would even ring up live to laugh off certain ridiculous theories. I made fun of the whole process, whereas Mancini does little to break the tension.”

Flamini: Milan are simply the best
Saturday 17 May, 2008

Mathieu Flamini reveals the reason he insisted on joining Milan. “Because it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

The former Arsenal midfielder had been lambasted in the media by Arsene Wenger for seeking money above all else in his decision to make the move to San Siro, so he reacted by giving his side of the story.

“I’ve enormous respect for Wenger. But I did not leave for the money,” he said in an exclusive interview with The Sun.

“It is not true. I don’t want to comment about what he said or how I felt when I read his comments. But I will say I’m leaving for Milan because it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world — with millions of fans everywhere, an enormous history and one of the biggest trophy cabinets in the world.

“Milan are in the Champions League final every couple of years. Arsenal are a big club too and they have ambition. But I chose to go to Milan.”

The Frenchman penned a four-year contract worth £3m per season and was able to move on a free transfer because his deal with Arsenal had expired.

“Those who say I left for the money should think that I signed as a 20-year-old and I left with the same salary I had when I came to Arsenal,” he continued in The Sun.

“If money was the reason I played for Arsenal, then why did I play for four years with the same contract? I had the chance to go to some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“I took my decision based on what I wanted for the future. Milan is the most decorated club in the world, along with Real Madrid.”

In fact the Rossoneri now have the most international trophies of any club in history, as the Club World Cup triumph in December took them above Boca Juniors.

The 24-year-old also revealed an ulterior motive for choosing his first Serie A venture.

“I’m half-Italian and it was an opportunity to go back to my roots. My father Roland is the proudest person in the world that I’ve finally gone to Italy.”

There are strong reports that his former Arsenal teammate Alexander Hleb will join him at San Siro – albeit wearing the blue and black shirt of Inter – while Cesc Fabregas is also a Serie A target.

“I honestly don’t know what will happen with Cesc or Alex. My teammates knew I had a decision to make and respected it. They know one day they may have to make a decision themselves.”
------------------

Yes, he didn't go to Milan because of the money, he chose them because they are the best.
It was only a coincidence that he chose the highest (by far) offer.

I really understand the players when they decide to accept to highest offer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But they look funny when they're looking for all kinds of excuses and when they lie when talking about the reasons for picking the highest offer.
