The FIGC said that they had charged Carlo Truccolo and Carlo Vivaldi with “violation of the obligation to loyalty, correctness and probity”.

They also charged the club, bottom of Serie A with two points from seven games, with involvement in the affair.

To say nothing of Serie B, Milan losing out on the Champions' League would be a near disaster for Italian football. At the moment the Rossoneri remain the only credible force that is keeping Italy up there with the seemingly indomitable Spain and the emergent English sides. Inter has produced woeful results for the most part in the past decade in Europe, Juve needs a couple seasons under its belt before we can be seen as even remotely approaching Milan's status. As for the likes of Roma, Fiorentina etc. I believe nothing needs to be said. We can only hope that Ancelotti and Co will surprise us again this season, as we've seen since the turn of the millenium Milan's performances in the league are often inversely related to their European showings, and this season in particular they have been a disappointment thus far.

One can hope.

I can't believe some of you guys still hope Milan to do well in cl.
With the current coefficients, it will take 4 bad years from the Italian teams so Italy would lose the 4th CL place. The Germans and the French are simply not good enough to get more points than Italy.
Do you people understand how are coefficients made ? It will take a miracle the Italians to lose the 4th cl spot.
