Spalletti loses Panucci

Luciano Spalletti believes it will be a tough match with Reggina, especially as Christian Panucci and Mirko Vucinic are out.

“It will be a difficult game and we must not underestimate any opponent, let alone one that has played two great games with Atalanta and Torino,” said the Roma Coach.

“Reggina have changed a lot from last season, but they are a renovated squad, not one that has been taken to pieces.”

The Giallorossi are defending the Serie A leadership and their 100 per cent record ahead of the Champions League.

Amantino Mancini, David Pizarro, Juan and Matteo Ferrari are back in the side, but Panucci, Vucinic and Marco Andreolli have not made the trip down to Calabria.

“Ferrari is ready and I think he can play around 45 minutes. Juan trained well today, but we have to see how he reacts to that strain over the next few hours. In any case, we have the option of putting Marco Cassetti in central defence,” continued Spalletti.

“Mancini is back in training, but we have to keep a close eye on everyone’s progress so as not to run unnecessary risks.”

Roma squad: Curci, Cicinho, Juan, Mexes, Pizarro, Aquilani, Totti, Taddei, Giuly, Antunes, De Rossi, Esposito, Perrotta, Ferrari, Tonetto, Julio Sergio, Barusso, Mancini, Doni, Brighi, Cassetti.

Milan fought back for a 1-1 draw at Siena with Alessandro Nesta's volley after a comical Dumb & Dumber moment from Nelson Dida and Kakha Kaladze.

We can win it man. why not? Every team has the potential to beat, whoever does less mistakes, wins.. Milan would eat Siena alive, but this is how football works, if you are not prepared well, you lose.. that's why Juve needs too work 200%

I'm not saying we can't win it, I just don't think we will.

If we are to win the league we will need to buy another CB (unless Criscito improves between now and January) and an attacking midfielder to rotate with Nedved (I wouldn't mind us recalling Giovinco to do this).

I had those thoughts as well, but a very hard work can overcome all these, we don't have to beat both Inter and Milan to become a champion, we should focus it more on other teams. I am not 100% confident we are going to win it, but I have my hopes, I want to believe in it! I trust in Ranieri and support him till he leaves. :pint:
