The next great President will neither be a Republican or a Democrat, I can tell you that much.
I don't trust Rand Paul like his father but he is much better than any alternative out there at this point.
What exactly do you know about my country? Please stick to your own politics. I don't tell you to vote for one party or another in Denmark or wherever you're from.

how do you figure? hes a brilliant speaker, but even that wouldnt have gotten him the presidency had he not been half black. He also straight up killed any hope the young people might have for real 'change', the only thing he got over bush is he didnt start any wars, yet...

clinton was a really sharp guy.
Clinton was pretty much as bad as the other ones, he's as part of the establishment as it gets. Just the repeal of Glass-Steagall alone suffices to destroy his 'legacy.' He was successful economically mostly because of the internet boom. NAFTA wasn't great for American workers as well and it empowered multinational corporations, which is bad.
We've agreed that he's a very intelligent guy, which is evident. Unfortunately, he's a corporate tool.

From my perspective at least it seems as if Obama is at least trying to do something about issues like health care or inequality, although I am often not sure how much of it is just pure masquerade or if the contrasting forces really are too strong for him to really do anything about it.
Basically Obama talks the talk but doesn't do the walk, however with pretty much everything I hear from other political figures, be it democrats like Clinton or Kerry, and even more so republicans or Ron Paul, it's already the talk I just can't agree with.

Income inequality will not decrease until Americans destroy Wall Street's, the multinationals' and the defense industry's hold on Washington.
Obama is totally subservient to that system, hence he's not doing anything tangible about it since his masters want to suck the country (and the whole world) dry.

Yeah but that's not something the president by himself can change. There's a system of checks and balances in place, being a president doesn't mean being a king. You represent the country first and foremost and try to work with the House and Congress.
Btw, I think Hillary Clinton would make a great president. I'd rather have the Green Party win obviously but the second best choice would be her.

Yup. The question however is if Obama actually wants and tries to change something and simply lacks the power to make progress against this system of corporate influence and lobbying, or just acts as if.
While I wouldn't be surprised to see myself preferring her to the eventual winner of the 2016 elections, she still ranks rather low on my list.
Among the at least semi-realistic potential candidates my pick would be Sanders, but I very, very much doubt that he will have an actual chance.
