Don't worry Ally, he will return. Trap has not chosen Milan and Juve players for this friendly but will call them up on Wednesday for the match against Finland on 11th June.

Yes all the players who were involved in competitions till the end are rested 4 this match. It's an understanble choice also if I'm sure that peaple from Campobasso, 4 who this is one of the few occasion to look at top soccer are disappointed. RAI must be unhappy too.

Anycase I still not understand why Abbiati?
He was in the bench all season... why not to give a chance to De Sanctis or Sereni?

Club bias perhaps? There are 'keepers that are as good if not better but they don't play for Milan.

Yes, sometimes Trap just focus on one idea and can't see that things change. Abbiati don't even have space in his own team :groan:

Holden toughts are true... and infact in official matchs it will happen that nobody of the guys from small teams who will play in the friendschips will have space, also if they are in better shape than the others.

Oh great Panucci...I think Im gonna be sick :moan:

What about Zauri or Colonesse? There better then he is(I find)
And Materazzi should be in the line-up for Finland, right?

Starting 11, in the 4-2-3-1 formation...

Toldo; Oddo, Legrottaglie, Cannavaro, Grosso; Zanetti, Perrotta; Fiore, Miccoli, Di Vaio; Corradi

Zanetti has a bit of an injury, so if he can't go, it will be either Ambrosini or Tommasi. (Ambrosini, please. ;))

its a really sad team actually. the defence is okay, although nesta is being rested, along with most of our stars.

but still, perrotta and zanetti are not good enough when compared to ther national teams.

i really want Miccoli and Corradi to play upfront together.

    Wouldnt mind this team:

    -------------toldo

    bonera---legro--canna---birindelli

    ------------ambrosini

    -----fiore------------di natale

    -------------miccoli

    --------corradi------di vaio

that seems like a reasonable line up without many stars.

Pretty boring game. Italy picked it up a bit after the first goal. Fiore had a nice attempt right after Corradi scored, but it was nicely saved.

No one really stood out as far as I could tell. Corradi will start against Finland since Vieri still isn't 100%.
