Yeah, I'm a little disappointed that Conte doesn't seem to care much about the fans. I heard someone drove from Sacramento this morning because we were all assured training would be open, felt really bad for the guy, not sure if he came back. Most of the players have been nice though.

I did go back tonight & it was in fact open. They let us take pictures but no video. I bring the goods:
Nice! Thanks

And Mirko appears to be picking his nose in one photo. Legend!
I didn't even notice this until now. Now I see it immediately every time I look at that photo.

I like Liorente's attitude very much. He seems to be very happy and ready for the season. Hope he will score enough goals. Even more than Tevez. For him it will be very important.
Considering he came from a club whose ultras were giving him undeserved death threats all last season, it's refreshing to see him in such a good mood.

Given that half the people in Bilbao are unemployed, I tend to dismiss that. :p
Athletic Club are rather unique since they have those restrictions on who can play for them (have to either be from the greater Basque country, or have direct ancestry from there through one or both parents if you are not). There's also the strong sense of nationalism in the Basque region, it's even more intense than in Catalunya for example. So if a player gives any sort of indication that he might want to leave, it's treated like a betrayal of not only the club but also his blood. The club president & the media tend to enforce this mentality as well.

Have a good friend who supports Athletic so I heard a lot about his situation.

@Hambon I was told they are just flying down to LA the day of the match & then flying back to SF, so they will be there on the 3rd only. Not sure if they will make any time to visit with fans or anything that day. But honestly even though I've been told things by people affiliated with both the club & with Stanford, after my experience today I would take everything I have found out so far with a grain of salt. Compared to Everton who actually outlined on their website their open training sessions & player meet-and-greets, Juve have been rather disorganized. Seems impossible to find anything out without actually showing up at Stanford & asking around, even then everything is subject to change.

I might check in on Thurs morning training before I go to work, if I do then I'll try to see if I can find out anything about LA & post it here, if no one else has already.
This extra Public Relations is whats separating us from greatness. I wish they could better handle it and allow folks some piece of mind when wanting to watch/meet the team. Anyways much thanks for the info. Keep us posted on anything new my man @Ragazza

btw are you coming down for the LA game?

Yep. "Basque Blood" is no laughing matter there. Boy, they probably hope they could face us in the CL sometime...
