Never mind @swag ...they're apparently in Miami now... there's photos of them landing at the airport.

What the actual fuck.
Yep. Saw the Twitter feed with them landing in Miami a couple hours ago. :andy2:

Tell him Mark is pissed he cancelled the game vs PSG in Montreal last year.
Seriously. I mean, what's the point of even leaving Vinovo if it's just to close doors and jerk around your loyal, global fans?

I think I know what happened... the article that stated there would be two training sessions today, was meant to be posted yesterday but didn't actually come out until today. So it was about YESTERDAY'S sessions & "fly to Florida tomorrow morning" meant THIS morning :facepalm2:

That's sad Greg. I feel really bad that they bailed on you guys.
It is. But what's particularly troublesome is that it's a pattern. It would be one thing if I got a "You the winner!" email as I did, only to find out day of that I "won" nothing. But it's also being told that the training session would be open to the fans, only to have people drive 90 miles there to find out it was not. It's also being told there will be an alternate open training session in the afternoon with no time given. It's also selling a North American tour and then pulling out after your fans bought tickets -- without the ability to get a refund.

Sure, Conte's job is to ensure the team wins. But there's an almost willful disregard of the fans. And if you're going to do that, just never pull the bus out of Vinovo.

On top of that, at least the times I was there Conte wouldn't come over to see the fans. One time he walked right by ignoring people who wanted autographs, the other time he snuck onto the team bus through the back to avoid everyone. Dunno, maybe he found out my true intentions :shifty:

The players on the other hand, were incredibly nice & willing to greet fans, autographs, photos etc. Marchisio tried to speak English to me

Sweet. :)

Good story. I'm sure it really comes down to Conte and doesn't really reflect the players or even what another coach might do.

I met a bunch of players a few years ago when Juve played in NY. Hamsandwhich, Trez, Diego, Delpie, Grosso. Everyone came over and signed autographs outside of the stadium. Even though the team had just been smashed by Red Bulls academy. Seems to be a complete 180 this go round.

That's exactly what it is IMO, it was my first time meeting any footballers so I don't have anything else to compare it to but as far as I know, none of the other clubs on this tour had any of these problems with fan relations. I know Everton did some fan events here, and Inter & Milan had events in NY.

I got Pirlo, Marchisio, Bonucci & Buffon to sign my Italia cap, also got someone to take a photo of me with Pirlo. But really, this only happened because I was ridiculously persistent & it wasn't inconvenient for me to keep popping over there. I'm no Juve fan & was mostly only going to see Pirlo really (one of my favorite players) so I wouldn't have tried so hard if it would have been more difficult for me to get to the stadium. I feel really bad for those who traveled or those who have supported the club for years & got jerked around with empty promises.

I'm not a Juve fan either, nor am I an Azzurri fan but when I was on the trip I was with a bunch of the guys that post here. That said, it's cool to meet professional players regardless of the team they play for. Seeing Del Piero and Trez up close was amazing.

Last summer we were planning another get together in DC which didn't happen due to scheduling conflicts. But really who schedules a tour when you know you could be playing in the super copa a couple weeks later?

Marchisio? Arrogant. Not captain material.

Ah yeah, I support Barcelona but my favorite Serie A team is Inter so I'm pretty serious when I say I'm not a Juve fan  However I've no shame in admitting I like certain individual players so yeah, it was a nice experience.

Disgusting from Conte, there really isn't excuses, sure you can be pissed off with the team that's justified but fans who are taking time off from work and spending alot of money to see the players and he fucks them over, that isn't on at all.

However, we seem to not be the only one fucking over fans. My mate went to South Africa, Germany and Hong Kong to follow City and he was escorted from the training sessions, he hasn't got any pictures nor autographs despite spending over £3000.00 following their tours.

Shameful from both clubs.

Tuttosport saying Mirko will partner Tevez. GDS saying Llorente will partner Tevez.

Both say we're playing a full team too.

Man , that was a hella trip. I'd love to kick it again even if it was an MLS game.
